Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Bella from  kosovo 15m old 24lbs . Sweet as can be and friendly with dogs and people.             All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

Jay is here because we decided March is Corgi month and we pulled him from a shelter! He is 1-2 years old. Housebroken and sweet! Needs a very active family! A yard is a must and would be good with dogs that are sweet. He is has typical corgi energy for this reason we prefer kids 10 and up. He needs lots of yard time and walks or hikes. He likes to play with other dogs and take walks. Even if he is hurt by people, he still loves people so much.

Gazpacho is a corgi black lab mix and his birthday just passed (march 14) making him a 1 year old. He is fully potty trained and will alert when he needs to go to the bathroom. He has a very rambunctious and sassy personality with a love to play. He listens to commands and knows a lot of basic commands (sit, down, let it, sits at crosswalks, wait at open door, etc). Gazpacho’s perfect home would be as follows: Household with a minimum of 2 adults No children Preferably a yard He yearns for another dog companion so a home with a compatible dog Caretakers who are willing to go through the rest of his adolescence phase All supplies and needed equipment will be given to you as well as a written out guide for his behaviors and how to properly care for him.

Story
Charles is an adorable 22 lb, 8 month old Corgi. This poor guy spent the beginning of his life in a puppy mill and was surrendered to us. He was never really socialized, and as a result, is timid and does not yet know that people can be kind and loving. He has gentle kisses for his humans and is learning to enjoy pets and cuddles but is not at the point where he seeks them out yet. Due to this, he needs a home without young children. Charles absolutely ADORES the other dogs in his foster home. He is usually following one around, either romping and playing with them or cuddling on a dog bed, and his favorite pal is a 120 lb Great Pyrenees. Charles is adorable to watch as he comes to life with his canine friends, and he would be happiest in a home with at least one other canine companion. This cutie enjoys being outside and exploring the yard in his foster home so would also love a home with a yard. Charles is crate trained, good in the car, walks well on the leash, and is working on his house training and basic commands. He did not even know what treats were, so he needs a new home committed to continuing to show him how truly amazing the world can be. He has discovered toys and loves taking them out of the toy box and to his bed to make a collection to play with. This little guy will flourish in the right home and make his new humans so happy! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
