Sophie is very shy and will need a home that understands she needs time and patience to come out of her shell. She is not a dog that will adjust overnight—she needs someone willing to let her decompress and feel safe at her own pace. A quiet, non-hectic home is a must for Sophie. Hi everyone, I'm Macy, a 7 year old 41 pound purebred Corgi looking for a belly rub. I mean it: one belly rub and I'll be your best friend. When you're not rubbing my belly I'd be happy to go on short walks. We need to walk a little slow though because I have very short legs. But walking would definitely be good for me since I'm trying to lose weight, for sure I need a diet and a supportive friend to help me through it. Belly rubs will also help. I wonder if maybe you could teach me how to swim? I like the water and it would be a good, safe exercise for me. As for indoor activities, I would thoroughly enjoy lying on your lap and following you around the house, just waiting for my next chance to be petted or receive a belly rub. I'm a really happy girl who loves attention and wants to connect and be all yours! Did I mention I love a belly rub? Weighing 39 pounds, Foxy is a beautiful and incredibly intelligent dog with a loving personality that shines once she builds trust. Foxy thrives on daily exercise, enjoying walks, playtime, and mental stimulation. She is house-trained and knows basic commands. He also loves to play with his squeaky toys when he is not cuddling on the couch with his favorite humans. He is a lowrider who is sure to bring joy to any family. Chico has manners...He sleeps in his crate at night, doesn’t wake his foster mom in the morning, but waits until she wakes, for his first walk. S'mores is a terrific dog who needs a specific, extremely dog savvy home. Yes, he's adorable but if you have never had a dog before or never worked w a dog with guarding issues before ...he is not for you. Corgis can be stubborn and difficult to begin with but this guy ..no idea where he came from. All we know he was tied to a pole by yankee stadium in 90 degree weather. When a volunteer went to get him he got aggressive. He didn't want to be touched in the foster home unless he initiated it, and he was a nightmare at the vet. He did bite. I dont blame him at all. This being said, now he loves attention. He rolls over for belly rubs at events and jumps up for attention. S'mores must have grown up with a lot of dogs because he loves dogs and he loves to play. Another dog ( meet required ) is a must. S'mores is 2 to 3 yrs old, 24 lbs As for his people, ADULT only. He needs a leader, someone who understands how to give a dog space and boundaries . You can't let him run the house or go on the sofa ( although they have cute sized dog sofas). He is a serious food guarder so put him in a separate room when he eats or crate. Just because S'mores has issues, it doesn't mean he is a bad dog. What it means is he needs a better listener!! People think "oh,if i show him a ton of love he will never bite me." No, he will think you are weak and bite you. Yes; he needs love, but you need to earn it. If you give S'mores space and time and take it slow..you will have the best dog, but you can't rush it. S'mores will run and play with his dog friends all day long, but he must have an old hip injury because after a lot of hard core play he needed crate rest for a day. You can't forget that he's still a little guy and other big dogs can jump on him and hurt him. RECAP: Adult, experienced home...just because you have had a bunch of easy dogs doesn't mean you know anything about dogs w issues!!
