Story
Ruthie is a 3 year old 49 pound low rider.  She is the mom of the baseball litter (Astro, Ranger and Philly who are all still available). She came to us in pretty rough shape.  After her spay and dental cleaning she will be treated for heartworm.   Despite her rough start Ruthie is a happy, sweet cuddly dog who enjoys people and is dog friendly.   To meet Ruthie in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care.  All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. Must have a secure fence if in a house. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##2720017##

He was surrendered with flea‑related hair loss that his previous owner could not afford to care for. After treatment and some consistent care, his skin has improved and his coat is growing back in.Max has only been with us for about two weeks, so while we’ve seen encouraging improvement, his adopter should understand that full coat recovery will take time and ongoing care. He has been cleared by our veterinary team as healthy and ready for adoption. His adoption fee is $450.Because we don’t observe our animals in home settings, we aren’t able to guarantee whether he is housebroken.Upon intake, every animal receives:Spay/neuter surgeryMicrochipAll age‑appropriate vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)Flea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam 7–10 days after adoptionPlease note adopters must be at least 21 years old and live within an hour of our facility. If you’d like to meet Max, we’d be happy to help. He’s a sweet, resilient Corgi who’s ready for a loving home where he can continue to heal and flourish. 🐾✨
