Story
Friendly and loving Bentley is ready to jump in the car and go on adventures with you. Though he is a tad shy at first, he is quick to warm up and is enjoying getting more walk time. He loves to sniff around, hunt.... This handsome little fellow will make for a loving and engaged companion. He is mostly dog friendly, but a fine candidate for a solo dog home - center of the universe with some parameters - he can't feel he is in charge. He is not doing well in a kennel environment. He needs a quiet home life, a more predictable environment. He is possessive of couches and likely the bed, so he needs to have strict guidelines, strong leadership and controls in the home environment. Best to sleep in a crate, or his own private spot. But he really can be a most charming little man!

Story
Meet Amy! Amy was rescued with two other friends to Family Dog and is currently very shy. She is still breaking out of her shell day by day and working on gaining our trust as she was abandoned by her previous owner in the Lodi airport with her two friends. We are confident that Amy is going to shine bright as the beautiful dog she is with the help of our enrichment program and lots of TLC and volunteer 1:1 time, it will just take time and the right family to give her a chance. Amy is the perfect size for a home that is looking for a hand-held dog that is cute as be. She has beautiful coloring and expressive eyes that tell you everything she is thinking. Story
Hello, my name is Kobe.  I'm a 2-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund/Hound mix boy that would love a forever home with you.  My current weight is 26 pounds and I should fully grown.  I am good with children and other dogs. I enjoy playing with my siblings and romping around in the yard with my toys. I  am hoping to get a home soon because I am still a young dog and I have been waiting for my family to find me.  I was rescued off the street with my brother, and have been living with my foster who has other dogs for me to play with, so if you have dogs I will be happy to have new siblings. I am sweet and playful, and you won't regret bringing this face into your life.  You should know that just because I share a name with a famous basketball player, full disclosure - I cannot play basketball.  I mean, I like playing with balls but they are too big to fit in my little mouth.  The video is of me when I was just a baby and a new one of me grown up.If you rent a house you must provide proof with application that you are able to have a dog almost 30 lbs.Applications are available here on the website under ADOPTION.I will come to you neutered and fully vetted. Adoption fee: $475.00  ##1503700##

Story
Peanut and Bella came into the shelter together and seem pretty bonded. Peanut is the more outgoing of the two, but she also follows Bella around and copies everything she does. Both are pretty hand shy, but Peanut will let you pick her up after she trusts you. She also walks nicely on leash and does not react to other dogs. She appears dog friendly and housetrained. Peanut and Bella would really like a place to live out their retirement years in peace and quiet. If you have that sort of home to offer, they’ll reward you with much love and loyalty.
