Story
Tonks is a sweet and silly 8.5 year old mutt that would love nothing more than to curl up on the couch or bed in a blanket sandwich (a la Princess and the Pea) next to her favorite people. While is not a dog that needs to be entertained, she would never say no to a walk, is a great on-leash hiking companion, and will play fetch in a pool. While she looks big in photos, she is just under 30 pounds and is easy to scoop up into your arms. She loves to greet her people at the front door with a toy in her mouth and tap-dance over to the couch for pets. While she was raised around cats and other dogs, her resource guarding tendencies towards animals have increased in recent years. This means that she will do things like growl and protect items that she thinks are hers, including like the couch, sticks, and her people. This has created an unpredictable inter-pet dynamic that has led us to keeping her separated and in need of a new guardian.

Story
Meet Amy! Amy was rescued with two other friends to Family Dog and is currently very shy. She is still breaking out of her shell day by day and working on gaining our trust as she was abandoned by her previous owner in the Lodi airport with her two friends. We are confident that Amy is going to shine bright as the beautiful dog she is with the help of our enrichment program and lots of TLC and volunteer 1:1 time, it will just take time and the right family to give her a chance. Amy is the perfect size for a home that is looking for a hand-held dog that is cute as be. She has beautiful coloring and expressive eyes that tell you everything she is thinking. Apply to meet Amy today!

Story
Hello, my name is Kobe.  I'm a 2-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund/Hound mix boy that would love a forever home with you.  My current weight is 26 pounds and I should fully grown.  I am good with children and other dogs. I enjoy playing with my siblings and romping around in the yard with my toys. I  am hoping to get a home soon because I am still a young dog and I have been waiting for my family to find me.  I was rescued off the street with my brother, and have been living with my foster who has other dogs for me to play with, so if you have dogs I will be happy to have new siblings. I am sweet and playful, and you won't regret bringing this face into your life.  You should know that just because I share a name with a famous basketball player, full disclosure - I cannot play basketball.  I mean, I like playing with balls but they are too big to fit in my little mouth.  The video is of me when I was just a baby and a new one of me grown up.If you rent a house you must provide proof with application that you are able to have a dog almost 30 lbs.Applications are available here on the website under ADOPTION.I will come to you neutered and fully vetted. Adoption fee: $475.00  ##1503700##

Story
Meet Finn, a little lover-boy with people. This guy is immediately friendly and playful with all humans. He loves to jump up on you and adores his lap time. He’ll also sit right beside you if you ask him to. Stop petting Finn and he will nudge your hand to encourage you to start again. He’s a little on the nervous side when he’s out in the world, and sometimes shows it by sneezing repeatedly. It’s his special nervous tic. Finn will also need some help feeling comfortable around things moving quickly, like bikes and cars. But when it’s quiet, he’s an eager little walker. He’s not a fan of other dogs, though, so Finn will want to be your only dog in the household. He also appears housetrained.
