Spring came to our rescue with her litter of 2 week old babies after she was abandoned at the shelter, which is no place for a sweet little family. Now that her babies are all grown up and she has had some Mama relaxation time, she is ready to find a home to live out her golden years in! Spring weighs 27 pounds and is a low-rider! Are you a Pitbull lover but the size of a typical Pitty doesn't fit your life? Well, we have your answer here. This girl is all that but in a compact size!   Below is a note from Spring’s foster.  “Spring is a fabulously cuddly and loving gal who can’t wait to meet her new BFF! When you first meet her, she can take a little bit to warm up but once she does, she is ready for non-stop snuggles. She would love to find a home where she can spend her days loving her people, being the best zoom companion ever! Spring is more of a couch potato kind of dog, but she does love her daily romps around the neighborhood. Spring is fully potty trained both with potty pads and outside. Spring adores the softer things in life, from blankets to toys and dotes on her Lamb Chop. Spring would be a perfect hike companion or a “snuggle and movie” friend.  Spring starts her morning with a potty break and breakfast at around 7 AM. During the day, she hangs out in a playpen with her bed and toys. She spends her time mostly snoozing and soaking up the sunshine. After I finish work for the day, we go on a walk to the park where she sniffs and gets her zoomies out. After her walk, she comes home for dinner and snuggles as I unwind from the day. She ends her day curled up on her soft dog bed as she dreams of adventures ahead!  Spring would do best in a home where she can be the only dog, or with a chill companion. She loves walks and trots alongside me as we wander the neighborhood. Spring gets along with all people, but prefers a slow introduction, so a home with loud kids might not be the best fit for her. Spring is such a lovely girl with beautiful, soulful eyes who deserves the absolute best forever home.” Spring would be best suited for a home with prior dog experience, but she could be a first-time dog. Spring would do best as a solo dog. Kids in the home should be over the age of 10.May 28, 2024, 12:02 am

Mixie lept straight from his shelter cage into the welcoming arms of his rescuer and he has never looked back! This 14 pound cutie has a gorgeous gray coat, a wagging tail, and a love of adventure. Read on to hear about how Mixie will remix your life for the better!    Mixie is a world-class loverboy who has a heart of pure gold! He loves playing with toys, lounging around the house, and sniffing around the yard. He takes some time to get used to new people, but he loves his family above all else. He’s the kind of dog who needs correction when necessary but he looks up to you for everything once he knows you’re looking out for him! He is a total velcro dog who would love to follow you around the world if you let him. He is very smart as well and already knows to sit, stay, bed, and watch me. He is very treat motivated and a very good listener, so we know that list will only grow! Mixie is an amazing blend of playful and cuddly, so he can follow all your adventures.  Mixie starts his day at 6 AM with a wagging tail as he heads outside for potty time. He has breakfast once he comes back inside and then hangs out in the family room as his foster people get ready for the day. He joins the walk to school and says goodbye to the foster human siblings before he heads home for a long snooze in his warm dog bed. He loves running around the house showing off his toys and his bright smile. He happily hangs out in the crate when his foster people leave the house. In the evening, he gets a second meal before his second walk of the day. He spends some time snuggling his foster family before he goes to his crate for bed.  Mixie does well when his people can give him directions and leading. He needs reminders, especially on leash to “leave it” when he passes other dogs. Once he gets through an initial introduction, he can live happily with other dogs and adores playing around the yard.  Mixie loves to trot on the leash and has been working on his polite introductions to neighborhood pups. He’s been making fabulous progress and we expect his forever home to continue that progress. Mixie is fully house trained and crate trained.    Mixie would probably do best as a solo dog, or as a companion to a submissive pup. No kids in the household for Mixie, he prefers to get down with the adult crowd.May 28, 2024, 12:02 am

Spoon was taken in by a good citizen after their former home was no longer to care for their dogs. That good citizen reached out to us and we took the pups in and promised that their next home would be forever! Spoon is around 15 pounds and has absolutely incredible bat ears that everyone she passes comments on. With a sweet smile and a heart full of love, we know Spoon will be the best companion to join you at any pup-friendly restaurant. She’s ready to give out her 2 paw reviews!    Spoon is a sweet and loving gal who wants to make your life complete! This girl wants to spend her life by your side. Whatever is on your daily agenda is on hers too! She is super sweet and doles out kisses like candy. Spoon’s party trick is waiting until you sit on the floor before she scampers into your lap and rolls over for pets and kisses. She knows how cute she is and she uses that to her advantage! Spoon may not have had the best start to her life but she has not let that fact stop her from living the present to the fullest! Spoon, pardon our pun, is ready to spoon out servings of being the best dog ever. If you are looking for a dog who is down for a hike in the morning before a movie marathon at night, Spoon is your gal. If you want a fashionista to join you for Sunday brunch, Spoon is putting on her best look. Spoon is ready for all that comes with being a spoiled and loved dog.  Spoon starts her morning at 7 AM with a long cuddle on the bed. She can’t have coffee because she’s a dog, but she treats that time like humans treat their first cup of joe! After a big stretch, she’s headed outside to go potty before she trots in for breakfast. During the day, Spoon spends her time sniffing around the yard, monitoring her foster mom as she works around the house, and checking under cabinets for missing snacks. In the afternoon, Spoon gets an outdoor adventure. Some days that’s a walk, some days she goes to the park, and others she helps with errands. Spoon gets her dinner at 6 PM before she settles on the couch for a well-deserved TV session as she winds down from her day. She goes to bed at 10 PM.  Spoon gets along well with other dogs. She would thrive in a home where her people can give her the affection and love she deserves so she can feel her confident best. Spoon would benefit from some more training, as she wasn’t given puppy basics as a younger pup. Spoon can’t wait to get her next adventure started, and she hopes it will be with you!    Spoon is only an option for homes who have prior dog experience, even if that experience is not recent. We will consider first-time dog owners if they demonstrate a readiness for a pup. Kids in the home should be over the age of 9.May 28, 2024, 12:02 am

Fork was taken in by a good citizen after his former home was no longer able to care for him. That good citizen wanted to do best by Fork and reached out to us in the hope we could help her out. We took Fork in and promised him his next home would be his last! Fork weighs around 13 pounds and has absolutely fabulous bat ears that earn him compliments wherever he goes. We know Fork is ready for his next food adventure with the perfect foodie forever home! Plus, as a Hot Dog dog, he’s already bringing half the fun along with him!   Fork is a sweet, sensitive dude with a heart that’s just ready to burst with love for his forever home. Fork came to our rescue severely undersocialized and very shut down, so we took it slow and let him lead the way as he got settled in. After a few weeks of gentle love and care, we have started to see Fork’s temperament emerge and he is a wonderful gem! Fork would love a home where he can gain his confidence as he starts checking out the world outside his front door. For those who love helping shy dogs blossom, Fork would be the perfect dog for that challenge. Once you earn his love, you will have a devoted companion who is ready to follow you anywhere. If you want a buddy ready for a movie marathon, Fork is that pup! If you are looking for a walking companion, Fork is waiting by the door with the leash, as long as you let him set the pace. We know that once our Fork finds his Spoon, he will be in bliss!  Fork starts his morning at 7 AM with a full body wiggle before he gets up and faces the day. After he’s ready for action, he heads outside for a potty session before coming back inside for breakfast. During the day, Fork spends his time sniffing around the yard, monitoring his foster mom as she works around the house, and relaxing on one of his many plush beds. In the afternoon, Fork does a daily desensitization session where he works on facing a fear. He gets a reward for being a brave boy in the form of a dog treat! Fork gets dinner at 6 PM and then spends his evenings curled up on his bed as he watches tv with his foster family. After one last trip outside for potty, Fork heads to his crate for the night at 10 PM.    Fork is friendly with other dogs if he is allowed to slowly get comfortable. He would love a confident canine companion who’s willing to wait as he works out his comfort. He could also thrive as a solo dog. Fork will need continued socialization and training to ensure he feels his confident best. Fork will be best suited to an adult-only home. May 28, 2024, 12:02 am

Story
Meet Al Dente and Casserole, a delicious dish just waiting to be eaten right up (figuratively, please) by you. Al Dente is an introvert who needs time to settle in and prefers to live with older children/adults. His eyebrows come with its own zip code and his Yorkshire scruff has the perfect amount of texture. Casserole is an extroverted lovebug who loves to spend quality time with her humans, taking short walks or just relaxing in a nice quiet spot. They are both such rock stars! If you find paparazzi lurking in your bushes waiting to catch a glimpse of them, just give them the shot they want; you don't want to make enemies with those guys.
