Who is the cutie with the light eyes? This is Lulu, a spunky gal waiting for her forever home. We believe she is a doxie mix of sorts, approx 15 lbs, she is cheeky gal who plays with other dogs; big & small, loves toys and is learning to be brave on walks. She can be shy to start but warms quickly. She is currently in foster with staff member. She has done well living with dogs, cats & birds, she’s nearly house trained & targets a pee pad. She is a spunky playful gal who would do best in home with another confident, playful dog but would be fine as a single dog as long as there is plenty playtime & walks. Lulu is lively & affectionate looking for patience as she gains confidence with new experiences. Her cherry eyes surgery will be covered by Jelly's. Mickey has been part of our family since 2019, when we adopted him as an adult dachshund through a breed-specific rescue. He has lived with us in urban homes, settled easily into daily routines, and become a deeply bonded, affectionate companion. He is 13 and relatively healthy for his age. We are making the heartbreaking decision to rehome Mickey because he is unpredictable and aggressive toward our children. This was safely managed for the last 2.5 years through separation and careful routines, but the recent arrival of our second child has made the dynamic too challenging. Our goal is to place him in a quiet, adults-only home where he is the only dog (or maybe joining another dachshund or small dog). We’d love to keep in infrequent touch with his new family if you’re open to it. Please note that Mickey has a history of nipping unfamiliar adults and children (0-2 incidents per year). He has no issues with adults he knows including his many walkers and sitters over the years.

Please do not write to us for an application. Sorry for any inconvenience. Bambi is extremely shy. She is approximately 1 year old and weighs just 7 lbs. Once she warms up she is very affectionate. Bambi wouldn't do well in a busy home with loud fast children because she would be scared of them. She gets along well with cats, though, and doesn't chase them. She is good with other dogs of all sizes and plays with them when she isn’t coming to you for love. She loves to cuddle up on your lap or in your bed at night! She is simply a loving little doll. Bambi is very calm and well-behaved. She is good on a leash as well. Bambi needs a quiet home without a lot of noise or strange people coming over all the time for her to feel safe and comfortable. She is very sweet and not aggressive at all, even when scared. She would do best in a home with another dog or where she has contact with her owner throughout the day. because they are home She wouldn’t do well left alone for a full workday without a canine companion. Bambi is a loyal companion once she gets to know you and will show you love and affection. She would do best with somewhere like a patio or a yard so she can go out as she does now to do her business. This little doll is a lovable, cuddly, and trusting little girl when she gets to know you. Given some time and patience, she will warm up to someone willing to give her the loving and secure home that she deserves. Bambi is being fostered in Oakland. Ca. Her adoption fee is $275.00.
