Story
Are you ready to add a little bundle of joy to your family? Look no further than Jessa, a charming 6-month-old puppy with the best personality! This low-rider is incredibly sweet and loves to lay on her back asking for belly scratches. She is pretty mellow for a puppy and just wants to be by your side. Jessa is guessed to be a dachshund mix and currently weighs 18 lbs so she should be on the smaller side once fully grown. She came to us on a flight from Texas and so far she has done well with dogs of all sizes! She sleeps quietly through the night both in bed with her foster mom and in a playpen. This sweet girl is doing fantastic with potty training, already learned how to walk on a leash, and she is already mastering sit! Jessa is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to find her forever family to start her new life in Colorado! Are you ready to give Jessa the life she deserves? Story
Stanley likes to be around his human. He loves sleeping in the bed with his person, he falls to sleep in about 2-3 minutes. He loves his medium size crate with the door open so he can go in and out as this makes him feel safe. He loves squeaky toys. I used beef jersey to train him. Ask him to sit and he will lay down. I've been free feeding him Purina pro plan from pet smart. He uses the stairs to the couch very well as he is a lap dog. Will sleep in your lap on the couch. He is a very happy little guy. Please give him time to adjust to his new owner. Shelter visiting hours are 12 pm to 4 pm - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12 pm to 5 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##2002385##

Story
Meet Jake! Jake is a sweet older guy with lots of love to give! He was abandoned on a doorstep in a dirty crate, and taken to a local shelter before being transferred to Gray Muzzle Society. Jake does well with cats and dogs, but is leash reactive so would be better suited to a house with a yard. Jake is working with a trainer and doing better walking on a leash. Jake does well with a doggy door, but needs patience with house training when he first adjusts to new places. We performed a dental, and are working on helping Jake lose weight, but he's otherwise an active, healthy older dog!

Story
Ellie is a 2-3 year old short legged, long bodied cutie weighing about 30lbs.  Ellie was dumped at a shelter in New Mexico with her six babies.  Overcrowded shelters in this partilcar area are very unsafe for pups, especially unvaccinated pups.  Ellie worked so hard to keep her puppie healthy and safe, she was suuuch a good Momma.  By the time we were able to find the fosters to get her and her pups from the shelter, two of them had passed away, most likely from intestinal parasites, which is 100% preventable, if only treated.  While broken hearted, we felt lucky that we were able to save the four that we did and we could tell Momma Ellie was very grateful too.  Ellie has now been in a foster home on her own for a few weeks and is ready to find her forever family.  Here is what her foster Momma has to say about her: "Ellie is a sweet, shy girl that loves treats and snuggles.  She is still a little nervous with everything she has been through, but she has been learning how to be a dog at her foster home and it is so fun to watch her grow and learn each day.  Ellie has learned that the crate isnt scary because of the yummy treats she gets, she is very food motivated.  She would do well with another dog around her size to learn from, love, and play with.  Ellie loves bed time and snuggles close with her foster Momma and the other dogs all night.  She has the cutest smile when shes really happy and getting love and pets.  She will make an absolutely wonderful companion for someone" If you are interested in adopting Ellie, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2034602##

Story
Hey there, I`m Otis! I`ve got so much energy that I need lots of daily exercise, toys to play with, and plenty of mental challenges to keep me entertained. I`m still learning my manners, so I could really use some training classes to help me figure things out. I like to play rough, so I will need a mature home without children. Meeting new dogs can make me uncomfortable, so slow and proper introductions will be key. Once I get comfortable, though, I can be pretty pushy with other dogs.I`m still working on my leash and potty training, so I`ll need someone patient and consistent to help me with that. It might take me a little while to settle into my new home. Get a free consultation with staff prior to my adoption!

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 - I'm already spayed/neutered! All animals are UTD on vaccines (may need boosters) and microchipped From the foster: I'm pretty sure these were yard dogs before their rescue. It was difficult to get them inside until they realized that's where the food and water is. They've quickly figured out how to ask to come in and go out (standing at the glass doors, which works while we're paying so much attention to them) but they need me to step away from it before they'll go past me. This does prove they'll take to training quickly once they decide they can trust someone. I can convince them to approach me with treats and they'll let me pet them if I hold a 'roasted beef lung tip' hostage, but they're still very skittish. I hope one more day with us will convince them to let me pet them willingly, but their adopted family will need to put some time into letting them get comfortable. I have two of the siblings and the boy is very dependent on the girl. She must be brave enough to go through the door first, then go back to him to let him know it's safe and then he'll follow, and yet she's the one that shakes when we pick them up to kennel them at night. Both are more willing to trust me and my son's female friend than they are my husband and son so any men in the adopted home must be willing to put in more effort. They are young enough they should both be fine once they've found a stable home that lasts more than a few days since they've shown definite improvement already since we brought them home last night.. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
