Story
Sookie is a 10 year old Dachshund weighing about 20lbs, although she should be 10-15. She is searching for a new forever family. We don’t know her history but we are guessing she was loved at one point because she is the sweetest, cutest love bug. Her is what her foster has to say about her: “Sooki is a bundle of love wrapped in fur! This sweet girl always has a smile on her face and is the perfect companion for both lazy days and adventurous outings. Whether it's cuddling on the couch (she looooovea cuddles like most dachshunds do) or leading the way on a long walk, Sooki is ready to be your loyal sidekick. She's a joy to be around and will brighten up any home with her loving nature!” If you are interested in adopting Sookie, pleae fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2171921##

Story
Meet Jake! Jake is a sweet older guy with lots of love to give! He was abandoned on a doorstep in a dirty crate, and taken to a local shelter before being transferred to Gray Muzzle Society. Jake does well with cats and dogs, but is leash reactive so would be better suited to a house with a yard. Jake is working with a trainer and doing better walking on a leash. Jake does well with a doggy door, but needs patience with house training when he first adjusts to new places. We performed a dental, and are working on helping Jake lose weight, but he's otherwise an active, healthy older dog!

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Frankie, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Frankie was found roaming the streets of Pampa TX and adopted by a family down there that had a yard with no fence. For some reason that we will never understand, they would leave Frankie unattended out in their "yard", and their neighbor kept finding him walking around the neighborhood alone. After this had happened so many time, the neighbor asked his "family" if they wanted him and they said no so the neighbor brought him to the shelter. And let me say... this was THEIR LOSS. Frankie is quite the perfect boy! Frankie is 5 years old, good with other dogs, and loves people. He is a gorgeous Dachshund, though it is clear that he needs to lose a bit of weight. He is a chonky boy, weighing 22 lbs, but he should be maybe 15 lbs at a more healthy weight. Now that Frankie is in Colorado, his foster mom has put him on a diet. From Frankie's foster: * * * * "Frankie is pretty dang perfect. He is potty trained, gets along with all of my dogs, sleeps in bed with us under the covers all night, and is just so easy and good! He came home and really just integrated so easily. He's clearly been in a home before and it shows. He made himself right at home! He is low maintenance and kinda lazy... very Dachshund of him! He loves to cuddle and be on your lap and sleep pressed up against you. Be careful! He is a face kisser!! He eats his meals next to my dogs with no issues, except if he finishes before my dogs he will try to stick his nose in their bowl to eat their food. I just put him on my lap or let him out of the kitchen when he finishes so he doesn't steal anyone else's meals. He sleeps through the night easily and definitely will want to cuddle! He is quite the chunk so he's a bit heavy to carry, but I haven't needed to carry him really... He walks great on a leash and runs up and down the stairs with no issue. Only time I have to pick him up is to get him on the bed because our bed is pretty tall and he can't jump up onto it. He briefly saw my cat and didn't bark or react to her, but it was pretty brief so take it with a grain of salt. I'll try to cat test him better soon. He really is a good boy, I don't know how anyone could have given him up!! He will make someone super happy." * * * * Frankie has been fully vetted, in great health, and is up to date on his vaccines and neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

Story
It's Winnie Pickles! This girl with her happy adorable name is a super friendly sweetheart. She's got the cutest ruff around her face, nose and chest! We think she's a 1- to 2-year-old 13-lb. pint-size mix of Dachshund, Aussie Shepherd and Terrier --- just the right size for taking her with you wherever you go. As you can see in her photos above, she loves to snuggle! She loves other dogs, going on walks and car rides. Ideally, Winnie would go to a home with another resident dog she can play with. She's food-motivated (great for training her), crate-trained, spayed, fully vetted and microchipped. She's learning how to be housetrained, but we're guessing she may have been a hoarder's dog prior to being rescued in South Dakota. She'll need a patient adopter who's committed to working with her to learn this basic doggie skill. Summit Dog Rescue can provide resources and support if needed. For more info and/or to apply to adopt this sweet companion, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.

Story
Meet our friendly and calm little Dachshund Beagle mix dog Mr Potato. He is around 2 or 3 years old and 17lbs. He is fully grown. His photos don't quite show how long his torso is, but he has a lot of dachshund characteristics. Here is a video of him with his friends:https://youtu.be/W_8IQqyKKiY He is very affectionate with people and loves to give kisses. He is friendly with dogs of all sizes and gets along well. He'll walk well on a leash when walking with other dogs.  We don't know much of his backstory, he ended up in an Kansas shelter on his own. He doesn't appear to have any behavioral or health issues apart. He hasn't show any signs of abuse or neglect. He is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Mr Potato knows just how miraculous a turn his life has taken when he was picked out by Havok’s Wolfpack and he is determined to live his new life to the fullest in the most playful and adventurous way, hopefully, with you. His adoption fee is $600. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an adoption application here: www.havokswolfpack.com/adopt If your application is approved, we will contact you to schedule a meeting. Once puppies are adopted, their listings are removed.  ##2161771##
