Story
Meet Jake! Jake is a sweet older guy with lots of love to give! He was abandoned on a doorstep in a dirty crate, and taken to a local shelter before being transferred to Gray Muzzle Society. Jake does well with cats and dogs, but is leash reactive so would be better suited to a house with a yard. Jake does well with a doggy door, but needs patience with house training when he first adjusts to new places. We performed a dental, and are working on helping Jake lose weight, but he's otherwise an active, healthy older dog!

Gibbs - MN Dachshund x 3.5 yrs. 9.8 lbs. Can you believe we saw Gibbs at a shelter and no one wanted this adorable little shortie? Gibbs is a doxie/chi mix and those ears are to die for!  I just want to pet him and snuggle him.  Since he has the doxie in him and a long doxie back, older children over 10 are going to be the best fit as he can be injured easily.  Gibbs will need a safe yard (they can get out easily) and door safety rules (if you have kids). He would like a friend to play with as he is playful!  Put in an application today at eapl.com.  His adoption fee is $250 April 26, 2024, 8:55 am

Story
Cooper is a very sweet 5 year old. He wants all your attention and will love sitting in your lap all day. He is okay with other dogs after he gets used to them. He is wonderful with children and cats. Unfortunately, he doesn’t play with toys or our other dog. He pees when he is excited or scared. He constantly competes for attention and barks at every thing. He gets separation anxiety. We adopted him from a previous owner at 4 years old and we haven’t been able to get him where we would love to keep forever. We are expecting another baby and we dont have the time or much patience left to work with him. He may be happiest with a person who will give him all their attention while being the only dog in the home. If someone is familiar with his breed type (we were told dachshund and Corgi mix) and training dogs would be ideal for Cooper. I want to make sure he is safe, loved and in a better suited environment so he can flourish.

Meet Trip! This adorable little guy was brought to our attention after we found out about his unfortunate situation. Trip was brought in as a stray and had a badly broken leg. Fortunately, the vets were able to operate and he is currently re-learning how to make use of it! Trip is just happy to be around you, he loves affection and being your #1! Trip is excited to meet his new family and find the right people! Please apply for this sweet boy here: https://aceofhearts.wufoo.com/forms/ace-of-hearts-adoption-application/

Story
Gretel is a super sweetheart that has recently lost her vision due to a disease called SARDS. She gets along very well using her other senses to find her way.  She loves humans, however she is not a fan of other dogs. We think that this is partly because she can't see the body language of the other dogs. She comes when you call her, and will follow you everywhere. She LOVES laps. She came to us weighing 24 pounds and has lost 4 pounds already.  She will need to loose another 3-4 pounds and she will be a great weight once again. She will need a home with a yard as she came from a home that had a yard and she doesn't do well doing her business on a leash.  We think that a home that has someone home the majority of the time, and no young children would be the best place for her.  She has had a recent dental, stayed, UTD on all her vaccinations, and is micro chipped.  April 22, 2024, 4:11 pm
