Story
Putting the “b” into bouncy, 12-week-old Bodie is 9 pounds of boundless puppy spirit and spunk! Nicknamed her “little toaster” by his admiring foster mom because he’s not afraid of anything, he’s as sweet and snuggly as he is fearless and LOVES cuddling with her, resting his head on her, rolling over for belly rubs and impressing her with his Bodie version of the ranger crawl. Fond of hiding his toys, he prefers particularly soft and chewy ones because he’s still teething, although he does enjoy chewing bones and playing fetch. To burn off his excess energy, he also enjoys going on walks, honing his leash skills along the way. He gets along well with the resident children, cats and other dogs, is motivated by food, toys and love, currently knows “sit” and “no,” accepts all treats gently, and is diligently at work on his crate and house-training and puppy manners. Only just beginning life’s journey, Bodie will bloom in an active and loving family, perhaps with another equally active pup, that will perfect his manners and complete his training, including his commands, in exchange for his own enduring loyalty and love. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $450 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! April 25, 2024, 11:18 pm
