Story
Nacho is an approximately 2 year old, 12#, miniature dachshund with striking blue eyes. He is house-trained, crate-trained and dog-friendly. Nacho was found as a stray here in CO and was shutting down in the shelter from fear of his environment. Given time and space in his foster home, he eventually started playing with his doggy foster brother and snuggling his humans on the couch. He is still jumpy around sudden movements and loud noises but has mostly settled in and will likely need time to adjust again in a new environment. He has not been kid-tested, but due to his fears only homes with respectful kids 12+ or no children will be considered. Nacho goes willingly into his crate for midday rests and sleeps in his crate at night. He will quietly whine when he is ready to be let out of his crate. When Nacho is feeling playful, he will spin in circles and hop around. He enjoys leashed walks and does a pretty good job of covering distance. However, he still has a fear of unfamiliar people and dogs and will bark at passersby. Nacho will not usually potty on leash so he requires a secure fenced yard. He is dog-friendly given time and will play with another small dog his size or he can be an only dog as he also does well on his own. If you are interested in meeting Nacho, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check and meet with everyone in the home. Nacho is neutered, UTD on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $400 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.March 14, 2025, 3:19 pm

Story
Hi! My name is Mia and I am a 3 year old Dachshund / Beagle mix! I'm very active and love to play with toys or even just to run around and catch things! Even though I'm not great with other dogs, I'm super cute and love people and love to say hi! While I've never been around children, I think I would do great with older kids and teenagers that can respect my space and run around with me! Mostly what I need in a new home is someone who is patient and willing to work with me since I get pretty anxious sometimes and can be skittish when nervous. I would also like somewhere where I can stretch my legs and run around since I have a lot of energy! I really have the potential to be a great and loyal dog, I just need a lot of time and patience to help me get there because I love to play and have fun! I can even cuddle as long as you're gentle with me and don't poke and prod me too much, and I love to sleep with others at night!

Story
Cricket ended up at a kill shelter in Texas with about 10 other little dogs. They all ended up there as they were owned by a hoarder Very shut down, they all hide in the back of the kennel together cuddling, afraid of the shelter staff. Good news for Cricket, she ended up in a foster before making her way to Colorado and has been doing amazing in foster care with other dogs She is still learning to trust people but one thing she does love is other dogs! she doesnt have a problem sharing and loves to learn from them. So we are looking for a home that has another dog for her to learn from and play with ALL POSO DOGS COME WITH: - TWO FREE ONE ON ONE DOG TRAINING SESSIONS - UP TO DATE ON SHOTS - SPAYED/NEUTERED - BLOODWORK/TICK DISEASE TESTING - DEWORMED/FECAL TESTING - WELLNESS CHECKS - LEASH, COLLAR, FOOD TO GET STARTED, TREATS AND TOYS IF THEY LIKE THEM - FI COLLAR SUBSCRIPTION - COUPONS TO LOCAL PET STORES

Story
Rae is a shy but sweet girl, who loves nothing more than to play and be with you once she settles in! She is a bit shy at first and will need a bit of time to warm up to new people in a new home, but is full of cuddles, play and love once she gets to know you!!! She does great with other dogs in her foster home, is non reactive around cats, and is doing great with crate training. Since she is just a youngster still, she will need a family with lots of patience and willingness to work with puppy training to help him gain some confidence and skills needed to become the best canine citizen she can be!
