Story
Gibbs - MN Dachshund x 3.5 yrs est. birthday 10/28/2020 and he is a whopping 9.8 lbs.   Can you believe we saw Gibbs at a shelter and no one wanted this adorable little shortie? Gibbs is a doxie/chi mix and those ears are to die for!  I just want to pet him and snuggle him.  Since he has the doxie in him and a long doxie back, older children over 10 are going to be the best fit as he can be injured easily.  Gibbs will need a safe yard (they can get out easily) and door safety rules (if you have kids). He would like a friend to play with as he is playful!  Put in an application today at eapl.com.  His adoption fee is $375 May 6, 2024, 3:00 pm

Story
Meet Stella and amazing young lady who's ready for her forever home.  She LOVES playing with the other dogs in her foster home big and small,  and is doing great with the cats as well.  She's a Doxy mix maybe with some Labby/Shep??  She is a little shy with people at first but has come out of her shell quickly with her foster parents and is now seeking lap cuddles and being with them. She will do best in a home with other doggies and humans that are willing to take some time to remind her that humans can be really awesome!!!  Put in an application at EAPL.COM.  her  adoption fee is $375 May 6, 2024, 3:00 pm

Story
Cooper is a very sweet 5 year old. He wants all your attention and will love sitting in your lap all day. He is okay with other dogs after he gets used to them. He is wonderful with children and cats. Unfortunately, he doesn’t play with toys or our other dog. He pees when he is excited or scared. He constantly competes for attention and barks at every thing. He gets separation anxiety. We adopted him from a previous owner at 4 years old and we haven’t been able to get him where we would love to keep forever. We are expecting another baby and we dont have the time or much patience left to work with him. He may be happiest with a person who will give him all their attention while being the only dog in the home. If someone is familiar with his breed type (we were told dachshund and Corgi mix) and training dogs would be ideal for Cooper. I want to make sure he is safe, loved and in a better suited environment so he can flourish.

Story
Evie is a very sweet dog recently rescued from a Colorado breeder. She is five years old and has a shy and quiet disposition. She is doing exceptionally well in her house training and will ask you quietly to be let outside so please be willing to pay attention to learn her cues. She is crate trained but prefers to snuggle with you in bed at night and hang out with you during the day. She would prefer someone who is home throughout the day or who is willing to take her along on errands. She loves other dogs and especially enjoys the outdoors and meeting new friends along the way. She would love to have a family who is patient and kind so she can feel both safe and secure in her environment. Her new home must have a secure fenced in backyard OR someone in the home willing to take her for multiple 30 minute plus walks per day as she seems to really shine outdoors. We are looking for the perfect fit for little Miss Evie and not just any home. Adoption fee negotiable to right family.

Story
Gretel is a super sweetheart that has recently lost her vision due to a disease called SARDS. She gets along very well using her other senses to find her way.  She loves humans, however she is not a fan of other dogs. We think that this is partly because she can't see the body language of the other dogs. She comes when you call her, and will follow you everywhere. She LOVES laps. She came to us weighing 24 pounds and has lost 4 pounds already.  She will need to loose another 3-4 pounds and she will be a great weight once again. She will need a home with a yard as she came from a home that had a yard and she doesn't do well doing her business on a leash.  We think that a home that has someone home the majority of the time, and no young children would be the best place for her.  She has had a recent dental, stayed, UTD on all her vaccinations, and is micro chipped.  May 2, 2024, 6:23 pm
