Story
This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post. For more information about Willow Ray, please contact: Kassi McCreary at 720-498-4335 Meet Willow Ray! Willow is a very sweet and loving girl. She is 2 years old, spayed, kennel and potty trained, knows her basic commands. Would do best in a home with no other dogs (has never been around cats) and no children (at least younger than 13 years old). She is a little nervous with new people but once she warms up she will be on your lap giving you kisses. She loves to snuggle and sleep under the blankets. Not food aggressive, very gentle when taking treats, grazes throughout the day. She loves to play with toys and go for walks, would love a very active new parent. She will give you the goofiest howl greeting when you come home or when she is waking up. She truly is a sweet girl and has so much potential she just needs an environment that is more conducive to her needs so she can thrive!  June 28, 2026, 6:28 pm

Story
Tizzy is a darling 4.5-month-old, 4.75-pound Chihuahua/Dachshund mix with a sweet heart, flopsy ears, and a quietly brave little soul. She absolutely lights up around other dogs and loves to play, explore, romp with her sisters, and work on a bully stick like it is her full-time career. Tizzy can be timid when approaching people, but once she feels safe, she becomes the sweetest little snuggler and will happily curl up on your chest or settle into your lap for a cozy nap. She is adventurous in new environments, confident around dogs, and surprisingly brave with stairs, sounds, tunnels, big dogs, and new experiences. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate all night. Potty training is still in the beginning stages, so her forever family should be ready to continue patient, positive puppy training. Tizzy is good with dogs of all sizes, men, women, elderly folks, and considerate older kids. Cats and very young children are unknown. ➡️➡️➡️ ➡️➡️➡️ GO TO: www.pawsitiverestorations.com to learn more about our adoptable dogs, watch videos, and apply to adopt.

Story
Chiweenie!  Say hello to 11 pounds of fun.  Zena is the perfect mix of Dappled Dachshund and Chihuahua. She had a rough start in Kansas, where she and her litter were picked up. She is now ready for her new life! She is so loving, incredibly cute, energetic, and fun to be around. She is potty trained, is working on getting used to a leash, and she learns new things really quickly. She was very shy at first, but within a week is confident and coming out of her shell. She has the Chihuahua strut and thinks she can chase bunnies twice her size! Her crate is her safe haven, and she loves being in it when she is not zooming around the house. She gets along great with other dogs and is a submissive girl who loves praise.  Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2711757##

Story
Meet Marisol Female DOB: March 29, 2026 Weight: 12 lbs (current — still growing) medium sized Expected Size: Small to Medium when fully grown Breed: Terrier Mix Spayed (Fixed): Pending (age-appropriate) Vaccines: Pending (age-appropriate) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Marisol is a sweet and affectionate little puppy with a playful personality and loving spirit. At this young age, she is still discovering the world around her and enjoys cuddles, companionship, toys, playtime, and exploring new experiences with curiosity and excitement. She has a happy puppy energy while also loving closeness and affection from her people. Marisol is still very young and growing, making this an especially important stage for confidence-building, socialization, structure, and positive experiences that will help shape her into a happy and well-balanced adult dog. As a growing Terrier mix puppy, Marisol will likely mature into an intelligent, engaging companion with lots of personality and strong bonds with her family. Terrier mixes are often known for being affectionate, clever, energetic dogs who thrive with interaction, companionship, and enrichment. Marisol is expected to stay in the small-to-medium size range as an adult. Marisol would thrive in a home prepared for: Ongoing puppy training and supervision Daily exercise, playtime, and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine Positive socialization and engagement A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being Puppies are adorable, but they are also a major responsibility requiring patience, supervision, training, and long-term commitment throughout every stage of life. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue puppies come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Even very young puppies require significant guidance and supervision to properly learn how to navigate life in a home environment. Puppies are not automatically trained simply because they are young. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, basic structure, and socialization, adopters should expect to continue all training and development after adoption. Adopting a puppy means being prepared for: Potty training and accidents Teething and chewing phases Crate training and leash training Nighttime wakeups and supervision Jumping, barking, and playful puppy behavior Ongoing socialization and confidence-building Daily exercise, enrichment, and structure Routine veterinary visits and vaccine boosters Financial commitment throughout the dog’s lifetime Because Marisol is still very young and small, extra care should also be taken around: Larger animals Rough play Stairs and jumping Unsafe chewing hazards Open doors or unsecured outdoor spaces Marisol will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Mental stimulation and enrichment Patience, consistency, and supervision Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, guidance, and commitment, puppies like Marisol grow into wonderful lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes training, exercise, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Marisol will need: Ongoing puppy training and guidance Routine veterinary visits and vaccine boosters Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and growth monitoring Daily exercise, enrichment, and companionship A safe, stable, indoor living environment Puppies require regular veterinary care throughout their first year, including booster vaccines, wellness exams, and spay surgery when age-appropriate. Because Marisol is still very young, adopters should also be prepared for the normal puppy phases that come with growing and learning, including chewing, teething, accidents, testing boundaries, and continued social development. Marisol is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
Sly is a 3.5MO little Dachshund/Chi mix weighing about 8lbs.  Their breed is a guess as we can't be certain.  We are guessing Sly will be about 15-20lbs when full grown.  Sly and his 3 siblings, along with his Momma, were part of a hoarding case in Texas.  There were over 40 dogs in the home and the small local shelter needed help finding places for the dogs to go.  We were able to help this sweet Momma and her 3 puppies.  They have now been in Colorado for a few weeks and are ready to find their very own forever families. Sly is a little shy at first, but oh so sweet.  He warms up quickly and wants nothing more than to be loved.  He gets along great with other dogs big and small, and all humans.  His socialization is coming along great and gets gaining confidence every day. He would do great in a home with another dog, or with someone who has lots of time to raise a puppy.  He will be the perfect size for daily walks/hikes/adventures, AND to be the perfect little lap-dog/snuggle buddy. If you are interested in adopting this sweet little guy, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2768357##
