Patti is a sweet, sensitive girl with a heart full of love—she just needs a little time and patience to show it. Shy at first, Patti takes a moment to warm up, but once she feels safe and comfortable, she becomes incredibly affectionate and loyal. She truly shines when she’s with her people. Patti would do best in a quiet, understanding environment with older kids or adults who can give her the space and support she needs to build confidence at her own pace. Her calm, gentle nature makes her a soothing presence in the home. Patti is ready to be your forever friend! What I Need In a Home:* Older children recommended

Story
Thor is a sweet 1-2 year old, 12lb maybe dachshund/Spaniel mix?  Thor was dumped at an overcrowded shelter in Kansas with almost no foot traffic.  The shelter reached out to us in hopes we could help Thor find a family here in CO since his chances of making it out alive in Kansas were slim. Thor is a little shy at first and just needs a little patience. Once he has gained your trust, he is your faithful companion.  He follows this foster mama around and makes she is safe and never alone!!   He is doing pretty well with house training, and gets along well with his foster siblings and the resident cat. He is such a happy boy and would make a great walking buddy, as well as a good brewery/ coffee shop companion.  He is very quiet so far, and is just such a good, loving little dog.  If this hunk with his long flowing locks and short little legs has peaked your interest, please fill out an application at Brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2451595##

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Bernard, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Bernard! Bernard is a sweet, low-to-the-ground little guy with a charming mix of soft eyes, stubby legs, and a heart ready for a second chance. Bernard was rescued from a dog hoarding & abandonment case in Arkansas, and brought into a sad, scary, outdoor shelter. We knew we had to get him out of there and were eager to get him to Colorado! When Bernard arrived to CO, we couldn't believe how CUTE (and short!) he was! Bernard is believed to be a Dachshund/ Labrador mix, but likely has multiple different breeds in his DNA mix! At 2 years old and just 28 lbs and with the stature of a small dog, (and stubby little legs!) Bernard is adjusting beautifully to life in foster care after being rescued from such a sad situation. From Bernard's foster: "Bernard is gentle, friendly, and especially patient with my pre-teen kids. He loves a good belly rub, and snuggling, once he's warmed up. He's a bit shy at first, but very very into food & treats, so winning him over is super easy! 2 hours after we got home he settled in and snuggled up with me in my bed. Bernard gets along great with other dogs, and loves to play! He is goofy and sweet. He is also potty trained and is good at holding it until we take him out to potty!" Bernard is looking for a forever family who will give him the love and stability he’s never known—and in return, he’ll offer plenty of affection, tail wags, and belly-up moments of joy. We don’t know if Bernard has had any formal training, but a (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class will help him build confidence, bond with his new family, and master good manners. Training is essential for a successful adoption, and Farfel’s is happy to provide a list of recommended force-free trainers to set him up for success. Bernard has been fully vetted, is up to date on vaccines, and neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.
