He came from a hoarding situation where he did not get much one-on-one attention, petting, or handling, so new experiences can be scary for him at first. We think Abhi is about 4 years old; he weighs only 10 lbs. Abhi is doing really well in his foster home. He LOVES his foster mom, and follows her around everywhere. He asks to cuddle and snooze on her lap. He was more anxious around his foster dad, but he's gotten much more comfortable. Abhi is living with 6 other dogs and is fine and respectful with them all. He is just now starting to play with dogs; we don't think he ever had a play experience before so he's learning how. Abhi has discovered toys and loves to empty the toy box. He likes being outside, checking out the yard. He's enjoying leash walks in the neighborhood - w e don't think he ever had the opportunity to go for walks until now. Abhi is still working on house training, but he's been doing very well recently. He will need a patient adopter or foster willing to continue to help him learn. Abhi has met a cat in his previous rescue home and was fine. He would thrive in a home with a canine companion or as an only dog, and with older, considerate children who understand giving him space. He does let the neighborhood first-graders pet and hold him. Abhi is truly a sweet little guy who just needs time, love, and reassurance to blossom. She does like to eat. LOL. She is a good girl, we are working on her skin, as she seems to have skin allergies, whether it was from fleas or environment. Older calm girl, but still has some spunk. loves to go outside, loves treats and chew toys, may be a little hard of hearing, but can hear. Good girl and low maintenance.
