Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Spruce is in NJ waiting for an adopter.  Meet Spruce — our shy little sapling learning to trust again.   When Spruce first arrived, the world felt big and scary. Sudden movements made him freeze, and he wasn’t sure what gentle hands were for. He’s slowly learning that soft voices mean kindness and that love can be patient.   Spruce still feels safest in his crate, but every day he shows tiny signs of bravery—just last week, he ventured out for the first time, exploring for a moment before returning to his cozy spot. He’s a mellow soul who’s simply looking for a calm, quiet home where he can heal at his own pace.  He’d do best with:   – A peaceful home (no young kids)   – Patient humans who’ll let him come around in his own time   – A yard or small potty area while he learns leash life   – Other gentle pets are perfectly fine   Spruce may start out timid, but with love and time, we know he’ll blossom into the loyal companion he’s meant to be.  If you have a calm heart and a quiet home, you might just be the safe place Spruce has been wishing for.  Spruce will be up to date on vaccines. Wag On Inn will arrange for neuter at The Spay and Neuter Center of New Jersey in Holmdel. Adopters must live within driving distance of Holmdel, NJ. His adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training  prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Little Abhi is a very gentle soul who is just beginning to learn what love and safety feel like. He came from a hoarding situation where he did not get much one-on-one attention, petting, or handling, so new experiences can be scary for him at first. We think Abhi is about 4 years old; he weighs only 10 lbs. Abhi is doing really well in his foster home.  He LOVES his foster mom, and follows her around everywhere.  He asks to cuddle and snooze on her lap.  He was more anxious around his foster dad, but he's gotten much more comfortable.  Abhi is living with 6 other dogs and is fine and respectful with them all.  He is just now starting to play with dogs; we don't think he ever had a play experience before so he's learning how.  Abhi has discovered toys and loves to empty the toy box.  He likes being outside, checking out the yard.  He's enjoying leash walks in the neighborhood - w e don't think he ever had the opportunity to go for walks until now. Abhi is still working on house training, but he's been doing very well recently.  He will need a patient adopter or foster willing to continue to help him learn. Abhi has met a cat in his previous rescue home and was fine. He would thrive in a home with a canine companion or as an only dog, and with older, considerate children who understand giving him space.  He does let the neighborhood first-graders pet and hold him. Abhi is truly a sweet little guy who just needs time, love, and reassurance to blossom. With patience, he will reward you with companionship and a heart full of gratitude. Abhi is up to date on vaccines, and has been neutered and microchipped.
Pimbi is in NJ waiting for a foster or adopter Meet little Pimbi  This tiny soul came from a home where love and cuddles were new concepts, so he still startles easily and needs time to trust. Once he warms up, though, his playful side shines through—he’ll lick your fingers, chase his little doggy friends, and melt for treats.   Pimbi isn’t quite comfortable being held yet, but he’s learning what gentle hands and soft voices mean. He’s potty pad trained, goes outside in a fenced yard, and would love a safe space like a doggy playpen while he gets used to his new surroundings.   This boy would thrive with a calm, patient family who moves at his pace and shows him that love can be kind and consistent. Older, respectful kiddos (11+) would be just his speed. All Pimbi needs is time, tenderness, and the chance to finally feel safe—and when he does, his little heart overflows with love.  Pimbi will be up to date on vaccines. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Morgan is a sweet girl who is looking for a new home. She is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ with a foster or adopter.  Meet Morgan, the mystery mix with the best personality combo you could ask for. Weighing in at a petite 32 pounds, this 3&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old girl is fully grown and fully ready to move into your heart and home. Google says she’s a Rhodesian Ridgeback, ChatGBT says she’s dachshund, so we’ve decided her official breed is “Purebred Adorable.”   Morgan is sweet, sweet, sweet and absolutely adores people and is super friendly with every dog she meets. She enjoys toys, a good romp around the yard, and then happily settles into calm, quiet mode. She’s not a high&#226&#128&#145energy pup, just the right amount of fun followed by snuggle time.   Her favorite place in the world? Your lap. If you let her, Morgan will curl up and become a 32&#226&#128&#145pound lap dog, gazing up at you like you hung the moon.   If you’re looking for a gentle, loving, slightly goofy best friend who’s just as happy on a walk as she is on the couch, Morgan might be your girl!   Morgan is fixed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and has started her heartworm treatment. S he is available to come to NJ once completed. Her adoption fee will be $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wag-on-inn.com . Story
Drake is a 16 month old doxie mix weighing about 20 pounds. This smart, playful little guy has already shown just how resilient and calm he can be. He thrives with structure and consistency and is ready for a fresh start with someone committed to helping him grow. Drake is eager to learn, highly trainable, and full of potential. With clear guidance and routine, he truly shines and continues to build confidence every day. Drake is looking for a foster home where he can continue practicing his skills in a stable environment. He’s open to a doggie friend, if its a good match. Home without cats or children, and his foster should be committed to continuing his training and providing leadership. With the right structure and consistency, Drake is going to be an incredible companion. He comes with training sessions. If interested, please apply at pittiesandpals.com. Many other dogs need our help, please consider donating or sponsoring a dog, if possible. 100% of all money received from adoption fees and donations goes directly back to support saving other dogs through Pitties and Pals Rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Online Adoption Application This girl came from a kill shelter, from what we heard they found her in a trap looking for food.  She does like to eat. LOL.  She is a good girl, we are working on her skin, as she seems to have skin allergies, whether it was from fleas or environment.  Older calm girl, but still has some spunk.  loves to go outside, loves treats and chew toys,  may be a little hard of hearing, but can hear.  Good girl and low maintenance.  Seems to have cataracts, cloudy eyes due to age. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 11:36 pm
