Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Tonka and Chico are two handsome pups looking for a home. Tonka and Chico are   now in a NJ foster home. Tonka and Chico were found in rough shape but they are blossoming in their foster home. Tonka is described as friendly, affectionate, and smart. Tonka is shy at first but warms up faster than Chico.  However, once they learn to trust you, they are both the most affectionate little ones!  They are very well-behaved and two of the easiest fosters ever!   However, we have come to find out they are not perfect - they do not like cats.   Tonka is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Tonka completed treatment  for heartworm.  We have  worked on his housebreaking abilities and he is 95% trained.  I would be remiss to not say I would expect a setback in a new home so you may want to use a disposable wrap at first.  His adoption fee is $400 but since this is a bonded pair, we are asking $750 for the two of them. How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Click on the orange Online Adoption Application button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon! Tonka and Chico are   now in a NJ foster home. Tonka and Chico were found in rough shape but they are blossoming in their foster home. Chico is described as eager to please, friendly, and affectionate.  Chico takes a little longer to warm up than Tonka but once he trusts you, he is extremely affectionate.  They are both very cuddly, wonderful dogs.  Two of the easiest we've ever fostered! However, we have come to find out they are not perfect - they do not like cats.   Chico   is fixed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. Chico  completed treatment  for heartworm.  Chico seems to be housebroken but remember, there can be a slight regression when they change homes so please understand if there is a setback and give them the time they need to settle in and be comfortable. Their combined adoption fee is $750.   Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training  prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! Story
Meet Yukon! Yukon is a 1 year old, 23 pound mixed breed dog of unknown origin (though we suspect some Beagle and Dachshund in there). He's definitely a mystery dog with his stumpy little legs and floppy ears, but it doesn't matter because he's 100% good boy! Yukon is completely crate trained and house broken. He's still working on alerting to use the potty so there's been a few accidents but he definitely knows the potty spot is outside. Although he still has some puppy tendencies such as jumping to greet people and inappropriate chewing, he is very easily redirected and loves toys and bones to chew. He definitely has a true hound noise and follows all the good smells. Yukon's favorite activities so far have been exploring the great outdoors, playing with his foster dog friends, couch snuggles and meeting new friends. Yukon loves everyone he meets! He's a very happy dog and when he gets excited he hops with his front legs and it makes his ears flop. It's adorable! If you're looking for the cutest, playful snuggle buddy, Yukon might be the guy for you! Yukon is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY. His adoption fee is $500. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Dottie!! Dottie is a 1 year-old, 22 pound Dachshund mix who's ready to be the apple of your eye. Dottie was born in Trinidad and had a bit of a rough start to life before being rescued by her foster mom, who decided to bring Dottie back to New York with her. Dottie is a perfect New Yorker and is great at going on the subway, happily trotting around the NYC streets and parks. Now Dottie is looking for the perfect forever home! Dottie has perfect ears that are always at half-mast... unless she is in supersonic zoomie drive, then they are pointed up to the skies like a sail. They help her to go faster when she's running with her foster mom or friends. And Dottie loves stairs! She has so much fun with them, so if you live in a walk-up, she will love to run to your door. Dottie loves humans, big ones and kids, and also loves dogs and to chase anything you'll throw for her. Dottie is especially proud of the many outfits she wears depending on the weather, and she likes to be dressed up with a jacket or raincoat. Like any New Yorker, she's doing great at adjusting to the NYC weather! Dottie is house and crate trained, excellent on the leash, and very polite. She knows basic commands like sit, lay down, come, wait and leave it. Because she's so smart, she also understand commands like 'not yours'! Dottie is an intelligent lady, learns quickly, and listens very well. If you're ready to let this bona fide sweetheart into your life, submit an application for Dottie today! Dottie is currently being fostered in Manhattan, NY, and her adoption fee is $500.
