Hi! My name is LuLu and I am lookng for a forever home. My owner passed away and originally her daughter took me in but after only a short period of time dumped me at a scary place called a shelter 'cause she said she didn't really want me. Fortunately, BCAA heard about my plight and got me sprung and said they would help me. I appear to be a dachshund mix with my longer body, maybe with some chihuahua. The vet put me at about 14lbs and when I first came into foster I was a little on the heavier side at 16lbs, but my foster mom is helping me get my girlish figure back and I weighed in just recently at 14.8lbs! I do like to be with you and walk on leash well which will help me in my goal to get down to around 12lbs. I was a little shy when I first came into foster but everyone has been so nice to me I have come out of my shell and enjoy getting attention. I have gotten along with most all of the other smaller dogs I have met and so far haven't bothered those things called cats. I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding. I do like my food and treats which I take gently but in moderation. This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken. Lilo is a petite little girl, weighing around 10 pounds, and is somewhere between 3 and 4 years old. She’s incredibly sweet and affectionate, loves giving kisses, and would be happiest curled up in your lap or following you from room to room. Lilo isn’t used to children, so an adult-only home would be the best fit for her. She’ll be fully vetted and spayed while in our care. She came to us with Beans (listed separately) after their owner sadly passed away. She was clearly loved and is now looking for a calm, caring home where she can feel safe and cherished again. Hi! My name is Daisy and I am looking for a forever home. My previous owner passed away and his wife put me out in the backyard and made me stay there all the time as she didn't want me. Fortunately, a small local rescue asked her about taking her in and she said ok; then they asked BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes ... yeah! Best guess as to my breed mix is dachshund (short legs, long body), chihuahua (little head) and/or Jack Russell (coloring). I am about 3 years old so past all of that puppy foolishness. I am a tad overweight at a little over 15lbs but much to my chagrine, my foster mom is trying to help me regain my girlish figure and am on a diet. Otherwise, I am a happy girl and love getting attention to whoever wants to give me some. I have gotten along with all of the other small dogs I have met; however, I do bark at the big dogs and cats but I do that from the safety of my crate. Talking about crates, I have done really well in mine without any accidents or tearing up of bedding; however, I would prefer to be out with you and may let you know not to forget about me if I see or hear you.
