Story
This Doxie gal may be tiny - she weighs a mere 8 lb - but she is full of personality. Meet Becca! Becca is 11 years old and found herself in foster car when her human passed away. A friend tried to take her in, but having an additional dog was just too much, so Becca would up an animal control. The shelter reached out to rescues and here she is! Becca has been an absolute joy to know. She is smart, spunky, and loves nothing more than a long nap in a cozy blanket. Becca is spayed, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, and just had an extensive dental where she lost a lot of teeth. She is doing well after her surgery and is still excited about dinner. Becca is almost house-trained, loves to ride in the car, and also enjoys exploring her surroundings. She is nervous about being picked up, so a home with older children is required. If you would love to be Becca's family in her twilight years, please send us your application! Becca is fostered in Smithfield VA.

Story
Penny is a year old dachshund terrier mix that we rescued. She’s is a great dog that is very loving. She gets along great with other dogs (goes to daycare a couple of times a week). Gets along great with our young child and has never shown aggression. She will need some leash training , she likes to pull sometimes on walks. We give her 3 or 4 walks a day and she’s usually a pretty chill dog after that. She has had accidents inside and in her crate so please take this into consideration. Likes chewing on her forever bone. She is microchipped for a year. If there are any other questions please let me know.

Story
This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is.  Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy.  She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance.  Mazie is 30 pounds and 9 months old.  She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told.  Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl.  Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her.  We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning.  She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them.  She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily.  Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say.  She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE!  We want the right and perfect home and there are lots out there that can give her that.  Tiny but Mighty little Mazie is ready for a home NOW!  Please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue : ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Tell us where you live when you email asking for information and an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 14, 2024, 9:58 pm

Story
This handsome pup is Biff! He’s an adult low rider that lives to hang with his people! Biff is a designer mix breed pup. We think there’s a splash of Dachshund, a pinch of Hound, dash of Lab, a touch of Pittie, and a sprinkling of Mr Nice Pup.  Biff is excited for life and happy to be here. He’s a true joy to be around.  Biff knows his manners and would appreciate a confident owner willing to continue to help guide him. When first meeting people, Biff can be a little nervous but after a proper introduction, he makes fast friends. He’d love to hang out at breweries, go on hikes, or just enjoys leisurely stroll with his new family. Biff has spent some time with a professional trainer and did very well there! He learned the basics and his trainer will be happy to review everything Biff learned with his new family.
Biff would be a great addition to a home that already has a calm and confident dog.  He’s great with kids and currently had 2 legged family members that are between the ages of 8 & 21. If you'd like to make this handsome pup part of your family, please let us know here: dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form. We'll forward the app to his foster who will reach out to answer any questions, share pictures, and talk all things Biff. ================================================= If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Meet Copper! Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Adoption Fee: $499 Copper is the sweetest little bundle of joy you could ever imagine! Copper is a five-month-old Jack Russell Dachshund mix, weighing in at just under 10 pounds. This little guy is a perfect mix of playful and cuddly, with a personality that's as bright as his name.
