Meet Marnie! Marnie is such a snuggler! She is most happy in her crate or on the couch wrapped in a blanket. If we take her anywhere else in the apartment, she will run and hide under the bed until we get her out and put her back in her safe places. She has started barking at noises so we are working on that. She's fully house trained and attempts to play/chase balls but then gets shy and runs back to her safe place. We're proud of her progress but she still has far to go.   She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Dot is a senior Dachshund gal. She's beautiful and sweet with that white face of hers. WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $ covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. He lovingly nips at your ankle when you leave because he wants to love his human so much. He is adventurous and snuggly but for now it will be on his terms. Sassy's owner couldn't keep her so we said Yes, we'd love to help this girl. She is the cutest Chiweenie and so sweet. She is good with the 4 dogs in her foster but was not a fan of a toddler she met who moved too fast! We'll say no small kids for this pup. She loves lap time and wants to be spoiled! She's not a fan of crates but will tolerate one short term. No all day, all night crating please. She'd be so happy in a home where someone was there much of the time. She wasn't housetrained in her first foster home, but her 2nd one has had no issues at all if taken out regularly. Sassy is 2 and weighs 9 lb Spay, vaccines, microchip all done!
