Story
Meet Peony —a 4 month-old bundle of courage, curiosity, and charm. Peony was found as a stray and brought to the shelter, then given a fresh start when she and her three siblings were pulled to safety during the recent freeze. While she’s still learning that people can be trusted, her constantly wagging tail gives her away—she’s curious, hopeful, and ready to see what kindness looks like. Peony loves the comfort of her siblings, but she stands out as the most confident and brave of the bunch. She’s often the first to step forward, leading the way with her spirited confidence. She’s also a bit mouthy in the vocal sense—she likes to express herself with little noises, and the occasional opinion, which only adds to her charm. And don’t let her small size fool you—there’s a whole lot of personality packed into that little body. With love, patience, and a safe place to land, Peony is sure to blossom into a loyal, joyful companion who brings warmth and light wherever she goes. ✨April 6, 2026, 12:43 pm

Story
Meet Lorelei, a mellow and gentle soul with a penchant for calm walks and quiet evenings. This mature dog is leash-trained, showcasing her cooperative nature, yet she retains a charming streak of stubbornness. She seems to be house trained but please give her time to adjust to a new environments. Lorelei`s independence makes her a perfect companion for someone who appreciates a low-maintenance friend. Her gentle demeanor and readiness to cooperate make her an ideal pet for a peaceful home. We don`t know how she`ll behave around children or other dogs and she shows little interested in her shelter neighbors. She`s easy to spot in her kennel with her 25-pound stretch body and stubby legs. She`ll probably be barking for attention but she is totally quiet when out of the kennel. She enjoys being petted a bit but isn`t demanding about it. She also might be nervous and hesitant around strangers. Adopt Lorelei and discover the joy of a calm, loving companion who brings serenity and steadfast friendship to your life. (tw 4/5/2026)
