Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Adoption info can be found in the last paragraph of this pet's profile or by visiting this direct link:   https://www.dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption Jack is a shy boy that is the absolute sweetest once he warms up. He was part of an abuse case and was confiscated along with his siblings when he was just a few months old. Jack warms up quicker with women than men, and definitely will need another dog in the home to play with. He LOVES other dogs, big or small. His favorite game is to get the other dogs to chase him. He is crate trained (he loves his crate and it is his safe place but he is fine being left out...he's not destructive at all) and potty trained. He loves to go for walks. He doesn't do fetch but will happily chew on his benebone or a bully stick and sometimes plays on his own with a stuffed toy. (He loves food, treats, chew bones...and also butt scratches.) Once he warms up he will give kisses and loves to cuddle on the couch or in bed. He will also happily sleep in his crate if his human prefers no dogs in the bed. Jack was born at the end of January 2022 and currently weighs right under 25 lbs. We think he is Dachshund, some kind of Terrier, and maybe some Chihuahua?? He has a very long, slim body but also longer legs than a Dachshund would have.  If you are interested in adding this pup to your family, please click here (or copy and paste https://www.dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption into your browser) to view our adoption info and where you will find the link to fill out our online Pre-Adoption Application.  Any questions can be directed to us at info@dfwpuppatrol.com.  All of our adoptable pups have a minimum requested adoption fee of $250  (pups 6 months and older) and $350  (pups under 6 months old), regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 8 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention. Story
Raphael (dachshund boxer mix) is a 6 year old super sweet dog. I would classify him as a one person dog, loves to hang around with my son. Plays well with other dogs likes to chase cars and cats, don't think he would know what to do if he ever actually caught one. He will let you know when anyone is at the door with his deep bark and he does take time to warm up to new people. Comes with a wire kennel Raphael sleeps in his every night.

Story
Meet Clark! Clark is a 5 year old, chunky fluffy dachshund mix. He is very energetic and loves to play. He is good with other dogs (big and small) but is very curious about cats and will chase them. He prefers to be fed alone. He is potty and crate trained. His foster mama calls him “Clarky Barky” because he likes to bark at the intruders (Amazon delivery drivers). He does well on a leash but prefers roaming free in the backyard. Interested in meeting Clark? Fill out an application! Application available at https://www.pawsofloverescue.com/adoption-application. Adoption donation of $295 includes spay, microchip, deworming, dhpp vaccinations, rabies shot, bordetella nose spray and any other necessary procedures prior to adoption. Dallas/Ft. Worth AreaApplications can be found online at www.pawsofloverescue.com, under the adopt tab.  We require an approved application before a meet and greet is set up.  May 13, 2024, 6:15 pm

Cuteness overload! Joey’s checking in to brighten your day. Joey is a 4 month old Italian Greyhound/dachshund cross puppy (seriously! Per DNA testing). He only weighs 21 pounds.  This adorable boy loves to be held, snuggle or just chill wherever you are. He loves playing in the cat tunnel, chasing balls and watching tv. He loves people, other dogs and cats. Joey is one of the "Music Litter" puppies born on December 24, 2023. He has started leash training and he is doing very well. He is fully crate trained but does well out of the kennel at night as well. He is a great sleeper! Joey is a social boy who loves meeting new people. He is an easy happy puppy.  To meet Joey in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.   For puppies this young must be home more than not.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##1948912##
