Story
Dudley is an energetic, dachshund mix who’s ready for a fresh start. Despite a tough beginning—he was unhoused and living in a car—this little guy hasn’t lost his zest for life. Dudley can be unsure of new people and will need time and patience to build trust. Once he feels safe, his loyal and loving nature shines through. He’s also quite vocal, so he may not be the best fit for apartment living. This brave boy has already shown how resilient he is. Now he’s ready for the next chapter—a stable, caring home where he can finally feel secure and loved. Could you be the one to give Dudley the happily ever after he deserves? Our adoption process and application can be found at - https://www.sunnyskysshelter.org/our-adoption-process Note: Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess. SAGE's Story Est. DOB: 06/02/2025 Current Weight: 6lbs Adoption fee: $500 Thyme & Sage – The Sweetest Little Spice Sisters! Thyme and Sage are two adorable female Chi-mix puppies who are ready to sprinkle joy into their forever homes! These sweet girls are playful, friendly, energetic, and full of puppy love. Sage is the confident leader of the duo. With her soft white coat and outgoing personality, she’s always the first to explore new things and make new friends. She’s curious, bold in the cutest way, and loves being in the middle of the fun. Thyme, her gentle sister with a beautiful chocolate-brown coat, is a bit more shy and cautious at first—but don’t let that fool you. Once she feels safe, she warms up quickly and shows her sweet, friendly nature. She’s the kind of pup who loves quiet snuggles just as much as playtime. Both puppies adore everyone they meet and are wonderful with children. They also love other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion to play with and learn from. Whether adopted together or separately, Thyme and Sage are ready to fill your home with puppy kisses, happy zoomies, and endless love. Could one of these spice sisters be your perfect match? (Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.) Story
Meet Paige… a spunky 5 year old who is looking for a family to love and snuggle with. Paige was surrendered to us by a woman after she had been abandoned at her house for a year by a sibling. She has been an outside dog and is learning to be housed trained. She has been introduced to numerous dogs at her foster family and has had no trouble adjusting. Her favorite activity is sleeping… either in your lap, or on the back of the couch. When it’s time to go outside… she spins in circles with excitement then quickly runs outside to explore and sniff everything. She has excellent recall and comes back quickly when called if not on a leash. She is happiest when her person is near. She will make an excellent companion to anyone looking for unconditional love.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $300).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!
