Story
Dudley is an energetic, dachshund mix who’s ready for a fresh start. Despite a tough beginning—he was unhoused and living in a car—this little guy hasn’t lost his zest for life. Dudley can be unsure of new people and will need time and patience to build trust. Once he feels safe, his loyal and loving nature shines through. He’s also quite vocal, so he may not be the best fit for apartment living. This brave boy has already shown how resilient he is. Now he’s ready for the next chapter—a stable, caring home where he can finally feel secure and loved. Could you be the one to give Dudley the happily ever after he deserves? Apply today! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSAR/Dog Note: Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess. For other questions on our dogs/cats please send an email to info@sunnyskysshelter.org.

Story
Charlotte was a gentle brown-and-white dog who once lived in a small house with a family. One day, the family moved away and left her behind. For days, Charlotte waited by the front door, hoping someone would come back for her. She felt lonely and scared, but she never gave up. A neighbor eventually noticed Charlotte and called for help. Soon, animal rescue workers arrived and carefully brought her to a shelter. At first, Charlotte was nervous in her new surroundings. She missed having a home and didn't understand why she had been abandoned. The shelter staff showed her kindness every day. They gave her warm meals, soft blankets, and plenty of love. As the weeks passed, Charlotte's tail began to wag again. She made new friends, enjoyed walks outside, and discovered that people could still be trusted. Today, Charlotte is healthy, happy, in rescue and ready for a fresh start. She dreams of finding a family who will love her forever. When visitors stop by her kennel, she greets them with bright eyes and a hopeful smile. Charlotte's first home may have left her behind, but her story isn't over. Her next chapter is waiting—and it might begin with the family who chooses to adopt her.

Story
Hi! My name is Duke and I am available for adoption!I weigh 13.8 lbs and am considered a `small breed` dog.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!Surprisingly I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other dogs. I came in with a buddy, Luke. We aren`t bonded but it would be nice if we could go home together. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.I really like to play around in pools and fountains, laze on couches or go on hikes with my buddies. I`m also a chatty cathy who will talk to you all day.I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home! You can visit me at the Pet Adoption Center on weekdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032.Come and visit me today, I`d love to go home with you!
