Cashew is a lovely, 3-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who is ready to brighten up your home with his gentle presence. Cashew is a bit cautious at first with new people, especially men, but warms up beautifully. He walks well on a leash and is fully house trained. He is mostly quiet! He’ll let you know if someone is at the door, but he does NOT bark excessively which is a rare gift in a small dog like this. Cashew is social with other dogs and would like to have friends or a small housemate he could play chase with. And OH, what a snuggle-bunny! He thoroughly enjoys belly rubs, being sung to, and generally being with his people. Cashew was surrendered by his previous owner along with 5 other small dogs. He would be an excellent addition to your loving home. Phinley is such a fun little puppy! He is very active and silly so he must have an active family with a yard so he can run, run, run. He’s a little over 5mo old and currently weighs just over 10lbs. . He is very leggy and lean, and he should be about a 14lb boy when full grown, so he’ll be a great hiking and even jogging companion. He’s a very curious pup and if he can’t see what’s going on, he will stand on his hind legs to get a better view. He’s so adorable! He’s wonderful with other dogs so a playmate in the home would be ideal, but it’s not required. He’s great with the kitties, too. He’s a very affectionate boy and would love to hang out with his work from home people. He’s doing great with his crate training, too, so he can be left home alone for 4-5hr intervals. Phinley is a very smart and loves training games. Meet Dexter! Dexter is such a handsome and sweet pup.  He has a delightful temperament and is a joy to be around. He is just 5 months old and so fun! He loves other dogs and will do best in a home with another dog. He is great with people and kids and his current foster also has cats which he seems just fine with. Of course he is a young puppy who needs training and guidance so that he can grow up to be a good canine citizen. We hope to find Dexter a family who can raise him with kindness.  Dexter will be vaccinated and chipped. He will be neutered between 8-12 months of age at our cost. His adoption fee is $495. We are looking for a new home for our beloved dog Poppy, a 6 yo Dachshund-Chihuahua mix. She was a rescue dog who has come a long way from her nervous beginnings. She's extremely sweet and a joy to be around, making this an incredibly hard decision. The only challenge is that she's very anxious around young children, and we are expecting our first child in January. Our dream would be to find her a new, loving home by January 7 that is small child-free with no other pets. Poppy loves to cuddle and is plenty energetic. She loves her toys and ball and playing fetch. She’s very trainable and food-motivated, a great listener that follows commands. She is sensitive to abrupt noises, so we do what we can to minimize or mask outdoor sounds. She loves music and the voices of her family, but she doesn’t do well in apartments. She also doesn’t do walks, so she really does need a small fenced-in yard. If interested, we'd love to schedule a phone call or video chat.
