Riley is a mixed breed of Dachshund and something else we are not sure, but he is very sweet, gentle, and loving. We have had him for years, but my husband and I both lost our jobs and we cannot afford to feed him. We have two large dogs that belong to our daughter and also cats so we were already at our max. Riley needs a very calm environment to finish out his days. Although he is great with kids, dogs, and even strangers, he needs some loving attention and a little care. He has allergies and should be on a monthly dose of of Apoquel to help with his need to itch and chew his paws. He needs shots and his nail clipped and maintained. We just haven't been able to afford it.

Bella is currently in a foster home with 3 small senior dogs and gets along well with all her friends. Once she feels comfortable with her new person and surroundings, Bella is very playful and cuddly. She`s potty pad trained, does fine staying at home during the work day, and is fairly quiet for a small dog. She’s a sweet girl who will reward your patience with loyalty and affection. She was placed on the euthanasia list, so Adogs quickly rescued her. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is scared and fearful of people. Still tends to get scared even with familiar people, but she wags her tail and gets excited when she sees the person who takes her for walks. * With Dogs: Gets along with other dogs at our center with no issues. * Separation Anxiety: Unclear since she’s living communally at our center. * Potty Training: Not confirmed as she resides communally at our center. Is currently going potty outdoors at our center. * Walks: Loves going for walks and handles it maturely without pulling on the leash. Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200.
