Story
Dudley is an energetic, dachshund mix who’s ready for a fresh start. Despite a tough beginning—he was unhoused and living in a car—this little guy hasn’t lost his zest for life. Dudley can be unsure of new people and will need time and patience to build trust. Once he feels safe, his loyal and loving nature shines through. He’s also quite vocal, so he may not be the best fit for apartment living. This brave boy has already shown how resilient he is. Now he’s ready for the next chapter—a stable, caring home where he can finally feel secure and loved. Could you be the one to give Dudley the happily ever after he deserves? Apply today! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSAR/Dog Note: Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess. Story
Harley 2 is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish him as a family member. He is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want his transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities (listed below!). Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Harley can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life—in the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Harley is never without a safety net; he will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until his perfect home is found. Meet Harley 2! 🐾 A social, sweet 1.5-year-old Chiweenie with a heart of gold. Harley 2 is a little guy with a lot of love to give! He is a charming Male Chiweenie who is just entering the prime of his life. After being surrendered to a local shelter, he’s now looking for a fresh start with a family that understands his "little dog" perspective and is ready to welcome a loyal companion. Why We Love Harley: A Friend to All Paws: Harley is quite the social butterfly and gets along well with other dogs! He’d be a great addition to a home with a resident pup to show him the ropes. A Crate Superstar: He is a total pro in his crate at the rescue. He’s quiet, settled, and treats it like his own little sanctuary. A Gentle Soul: He recently had a wonderful first meeting with a female adult (be sure to check out the video in this listing to see his sweet, tail-wagging greeting!). The Perfect Match: While Harley is a sweetheart, he previously lived with a 2-year-old that the parents let play in his food bowl when he was eating. To make sure he feels safe and confident, we are looking for a home with children aged 5 or older (or an adult-only household) where he can thrive in a calmer and smarter environment. Video of Harley 2 from March 11: https://youtube.com/shorts/RdzEOFYsFK8 Health & Wellness Harley is a healthy boy and will arrive at his new home fully "vetted" and ready for a fresh start! His adoption includes: Fully Vetted: Harley is already neutered and up-to-date on all his essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP series, and Bordetella). Prevention: He has been dewormed, is heartworm negative, and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Safety First: To ensure he is in tip-top shape for his new family, he will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate—all performed within 10 days of his transport date. Adoption Details Harley’s adoption fee is $900. This fee is all-inclusive, covering his neuter, all veterinary care listed above, and his seat on a professional transport service dedicated to getting him safely to your area. Meet Rumi🧡 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped, and heartworm negative. * Recently received treatment for pancreatitis. Should avoid being fed fatty foods. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Rumi had stayed at the Gimje City Shelter for over two years after giving birth to puppies, living in a cramped space. Afterwards, she was placed on the euthanasia list, so Adogs quickly rescued her. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is scared and fearful of people. Still tends to get scared even with familiar people, but wags her tail and gets excited when she sees the person who takes her for walks. * With Dogs: Gets along with other dogs at our center with no issues. * Separation Anxiety: Unclear since she’s living communally at our center. * Potty Training: Not confirmed as she resides communally at our center. Is currently going potty outdoors at our center. * Walks: Is a well-behaved walker who enjoys being outside and does not pull on the leash. May initially feel a bit intimidated and sit down after a few steps to scan the surroundings. Once adjusted to the environment, she walks forward confidently. * Car Sickness: Had no problems and rested during short car rides. * Biting: May growl at times, but calmly accepts being touched. While the growling is a sign of being fearful of people, she has never shown any aggressive behavior, such as nipping or putting teeth on skin. * Bark: Is still afraid of people and growls out of fear when making eye contact with them. * Like: Likes going for walks.

Story
Meet August! August and his 7 siblings were found on the side of the road in Eastern Washington, along with their sweet mom Lola. We don’t know what breed mix they are, but they’re all very adorable. Mama Lola weighs about 30 pounds, and looks like a perfect mix between a Dachshund and a German Shepherd. Her pups will likely grow to be medium sized adult dogs. August is such a fun, playful boy. Lola’s pups are currently 6 weeks old and will be ready to leave mom at 8 weeks of age. They are all lovely pups with great temperaments. They will need proper socialization and training to become good canine citizens. We are looking for families who are dedicated to helping their pups develop into healthy and well adjusted dogs. For larger litters our adoption process is as follows: We review applications in the order they are received. We set up meet and greets with the puppies in order. The first applicant will have first pick of the litter, the second applicant will have second pick of the litter etc. We will set a date and time for each applicant to meet the pups. Once the pups are 8 weeks old, they are ready to begin their trial adoptions. Our trial adoption period is two weeks and that gives applicants sufficient time to ensure the pup is indeed a good match. Applications can be submitted via our website savinggreatanimals.org. We respond to all applications within 48 hours. The puppies will have received their first puppy vaccinations, microchips and deworming. They will be spayed and neutered between 8 and 12 months, which is included in the adoption fee. Adoption fee for the pups is $525. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Meatball! This little fella found himself in a high kill shelter at risk of euthanasia through no fault of his own. He's just a baby! He arrived with us with his brother Pot Roast and together they are the cutest, funniest pups. We're not quite sure what their breed mix is. Scruffy fur mixed with soft fur, long ears, lanky legs with a stocky body - it is anyone's guess. They are about 10 lbs now and will likely grown to about 25-35 lbs.  Meatball is just a puppy so he is doing all the puppy things - exploring the world with his mouth (put your socks away), playing, sleeping, learning about the world. He has a lovely temperament and is playful and social. He will need continued training and socialization to grow up to be a good canine citizen. At this age he is too young to be alone for long. A home with a yard will be best for him.  Meatball has received his first puppy vaccinations, is microchipped and dewormed. He is scheduled to be neutered soon. His adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!
