Story
Gypsy is a 10(11 in April) year old Dachshund mix who still loves to play! She's about 20 lbs, fully vetted and potty trained. She needs a fenced yard or a leash because she still has a dachshund's prey drive I would love to see Gypsy go to a family because she is great with kids(not only great with them, but she loves them and is extra happy around them), and good with other dogs. Gypsy is also happy to sleep and cuddle all day, she usually sleeps in the bed with her human at night. Shes a very affectionate and sweet dog. unknown behavior with cats Located in Hartland, Wi 53029 Contact Vicki Lorenz via text if questions 2624969324, if interested in adopting: www.tinypawssmalldogrescue.org, adoption fee of $350 required.

Story
We got Finn at MADACC as a rescue who was underweight and approximately 2 years old. He got along with our elderly dog Raven, so we adopted him. Raven and Finn took the three weeks to get used to each other, treats were the main point of contention but outside of that they found a wonderful friendship and would play wrestle together. As they were bonding we had gotten pregnant and had our baby boy. They were both tentative but learning how to handle this new friend. Raven Unfortunately got end stage renal disease and passed suddenly on us. Finn was doing okay but continued to be skittish. He does not want to be pet by our son we have attempted with training, treats, medication, but he still shows skittishness and nipping if our son tries to pet. We feel at this point for Finns own sake he should be in an environment he's not so anxious. Finn is protective of his home and takes time to warm up to guests.

Story
Meet Manny! Hi. My name is Manny. My foster mom calls me The Red Baron, well because I am red and I am a fighter. You see, back in December, I fell off a bed and shattered some disks in my back, leaving me partially paralyzed, unable to walk or go to the bathroom by myself. But believe it or not, Luck was on my side. As a young adult, I had surgery to fix my back and landed with my foster mom, who has been helping me learn to walk again and lose weight. I'm about 14 pounds and could lose another pound or two, I’m still not fully recovered, but each day, I get a little stronger. I am the sweetest, most loving boy. I love attention, but sometimes don’t like sharing it with my fur siblings, even though i get along with other dogs quite well. I also love exploring, smelling, and investigating. Because of this, you can’t leave me outside unattended as I like to wander. A yard with a fence would be great, but not necessary if you never leave me alone. I am a foodie too, love food, but I need to keep a steady weight because being too heavy is bad for my back. I love to be outside and go for walks, though I go pretty slow, and my walk is pretty sloppy still, but walks help me go potty often. Because I am still healing, I need a special person(s) who will continue my therapies until I am strong enough and fully recovered. Sometimes you may need to carry me because I get tired. Also, I still can’t go potty by myself all the way, so right now, I need your help with emptying my bladder and bowels. It’s not hard, and my foster mom can teach you. I love people, which probably includes kids, but because of my back, I need to be handled very carefully. So, I need kids that can understand that, so maybe ages ten and up. I can’t be allowed to jump up or off furniture or climb up or down stairs, and you will need to make sure I don’t fall off anything or I could reinjure my back. When I am fully recovered, I will need to have a dental and a neuter done. I’m just a very special pup looking for a very special person(s), asking them to love me forever. Are you my forever? *Manny is being fostered in the Hartland, WI area. *Manny has a dental and neuter appointment at the end of May, to give him more time to heal. Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 3/12/2024 Dog Name: Wade Sex: Male Estimated Breed Mix: Dachshund or Corgis Mix, leaning more towards Dachshund Approximate Age: 6 Weeks old Approximate Weight: 2 lbs. Description: These cute chunky puppies have the most innocent personalities- and they are still developing their own personalities. They are professional puppies who love to eat, sleep and play. They loved to be held and cuddled! This little family is so precious! Adoption Fee: $550.00We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. April 17, 2024, 11:06 pm
