Story
If Rayne were a human, she would be a supermodel...but she would run, not walk, down the runway! She is a willowy young girl, 54 pounds, with long thin legs and a beautiful face framed by perfectly shaped and expressive brows. Rayne has a sweet demeanor, she loves to move, and she loves getting scratches; especially behind her ears.  She is a joyful young lady at 3 years old - with a happy and loving nature. Rayne was rescued from PG County's euthanasia list and now she needs to find people to give her the life she deserves.  Rayne LOVES to walk, run, fetch a ball, and play.  She is a girl with energy and would be great for active adopters who enjoy hikes or long walks.  She would do best with a fenced yard to play in. Rayne is eager to learn and eager to bond.  Her ideal adopter will work with her on training - and she is smart so she will learn quickly. She loves to ride in the car, enjoys the fresh air on her face, and the feeling of adventure! She wags her tail when other dogs pass.  Rayne is looking to find a home where she can run and play and then rest easy in the comfort and safety of her forever home. PAW adopts in the DC, MD, northern VA, and southern PA area only. ##2324335##

Story
We are moving overseas for a temporary job and looking to rehome our beloved pup Archie until we return in January 2026. We adopted Archie in 2014 and he's now the most puppy-faced 10-year-old boy you've ever seen (seriously, we still get stopped on the street constantly asking if he's a puppy!). He has been a loyal companion, witnessing our family grow as we married and welcomed two human babies, now ages 6 and 2. Archie is a top-notch snuggler, full of energy on walks, and incredibly patient with little ones. Until very recently he would run his little heart out at the dog park, consistently faster than dogs half his age. Having spent the first year of his life in shelters, however, he does come with some baggage and still experiences separation anxiety. Archie would do best in a home with at least one person home the majority of the time and/or with another dog to keep him company. He is house-trained, but resists the crate. Please consider taking in our special guy!

Story
We are a family of 5 (3 kids under 10) and we got him as a family pet last August (2024) he was 2 months old at the time. From an AKC accredited Doberman breeder in Sping Grove, PA (FoxFamilyPups) for $3,000. He is now about 11 months old. He has been professionally trained by Haywood Dog Academy since December 2024 for obedience and loose leash walking. Named after my wife’s hometown, Chicago is a goofy, fun, and sweet dog that loves rolling over for belly rubs, eating treats, playing A LOT, and spending time with his family. He has a lot of energy and is happiest when he is by our side. He is also crate trained. We’ve discovered that we just aren’t a good fit for him at this stage in our lives. We are seeking a home for Chicago where his new owner is physically active and has plenty time to dedicate to him, preferably someone without kids. He’s a big puppy and will need continuous exercise and consistent training from anyone who is interested.

Story
Meet Dillon – A Diamond Just Waiting to Shine &#226&#156&#168   Every once in a while, a truly special dog crosses our path—a dog who just needs someone to believe in him. Dillon is that dog.   This sleek, stunning 6-year-old Blue Doberman Pinscher has a heart as big as his beautiful smile. At 75 pounds, Dillon is a happy, affectionate boy who has charmed everyone at the Texas shelter where he’s been waiting—too long—for someone to finally see the incredible companion he’s meant to be.  Critter Cavalry Rescue wants to move him to a foster or forever home by April 1st and we can with your help!!!!!  Dillon came to the shelter as a stray, underweight and without a collar. But despite the rough start, he hasn’t let anything dampen his spirit. He’s well-adjusted, housebroken in his kennel, and a true joy to everyone who meets him. Dillon has attended adoption events, greeting people with his trademark Doberman grin and his easygoing personality. Yet somehow, his forever family hasn’t found him—yet.   He absolutely loves water and would be in heaven with a little plastic kiddie pool to splash around in this summer. Simple joys like that make Dillon’s heart sing. He doesn’t need grand gestures—he just needs someone to see him, to give him a chance, and to love him the way he deserves.   With his gorgeous fawn coloring (a rare and beautiful shade you don’t often see), Dillon turns heads everywhere he goes. But what truly makes him special is his heart—the heart of a dog who still believes his best days are ahead.   Dillon needs:&#226&#156&#133 A Doberman-savvy person or family&#226&#156&#133 A securely fenced yard&#226&#156&#133 Patience, guidance, and unconditional love&#226&#156&#133 A forever promise to walk through life together   We at Critter Cavalry Rescue have promised Dillon that we will not stop until we find him the home he’s been dreaming of. He’s ready to give his whole heart to someone who will cherish him.   Will you be the one to change his life forever?   If you can foster or adopt Dillon—or even just help spread the word—please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com right away.Dillon is ready to shine… he just needs you to believe in him.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 26, 2025, 11:59 pm

Story
Dakota is a very affectionate, gentle, 97 pound, 7-8 year old female black/tan Doberman with a calm and friendly personality. She is a bit overweight and on a journey to a healthier leaner body. Dakota is a special needs dog; she had a cancerous mass which was removed. There are currently no signs of cancer but she should be monitored to see if it returns. Dakota greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and gentle kisses. Dakota is calm and well-mannered. She is content to take naps and relax. If she is left alone she does whine and pace. She is not destructive but will chew a blanket. She sleeps through the night on her dog bed. Dakota will do best in a new home where someone is home with her. She does well when riding in the car. Dakota spent some with another female Doberman and got along well with her. She would be a good companion for an older or more relaxed playmate rather than rough-housing with a young puppy. Dakota is fostered in Maryland.
