Story
AdoptAPet Inquires are not an application and will be ignored. Looking for a Foster or Adopter Commander is a 10 month old Doberman mix, weighing in at about 75 lbs of pure muscle and snuggle power. This boy LOVES people, really loves them. Attention, affection, hugs, if it involves being close to his humans, he’s all in. If it was up to him he would be hugging someone at all times. His nickname at the rescue is "Mr. Let Me Hug You". He’s a playful, goofy puppy who’s still figuring out how to coordinate those long legs of his, which just adds to his charm. Commander wants nothing more than to be by your side, soaking up all the love you’re willing to give. That said, he’s a strong, energetic guy who will need a confident, committed adopter to continue working on his leash manners. Right now, he approaches walks like he’s training for a sled dog team. With consistency and patience, he’s going to make great progress. Food and affection are the way to his heart, and he’s eager to learn and grow with the right person. He’s truly just a big, happy, lovable goof who needs someone to help guide him into his best self. He may be okay in an apartment, but one happy tail swipe and anything that was on display will be a distant memory. He’s good with kids, but his love of hugs (at 75 lbs!) could accidentally knock over smaller ones Dog parks aren’t for him. He can be a bit overwhelming for some dogs, and his size can make others nervous. You don’t need a yard for Commander to be happy, though! Just common sense, regular walks, and maybe a pup cup or two. Professional training would be a huge plus and a great way to set both him and his future adopter up for success. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, slightly uncoordinated adventure buddy who will keep you laughing and loved, Commander might just be your guy. Apply to adopt me! https://tinyurl.com/TLCdogapp Adoption radius: 60 miles from 20906 Foster radius: 25 miles from 20906 We don’t promote any of our dogs as house trained or allergy friendly.

Story
Kiara – A Good Dog Who Needs the Right Environment Kiara didn’t get the start most dogs do. She came from a backyard “oops” litter without proper early socialization, which made the world overwhelming early on. Through structured training and consistent guidance at K9netic Pack, she has made a significant transformation into a confident, affectionate, and capable dog. Kiara was previously adopted and returned—not because she is a bad dog, but because the environment was not the right fit. She was placed in a high foot-traffic home with a lot of movement and little structure. For a dog like Kiara, that kind of environment creates overstimulation and confusion. Without clear leadership, she became overwhelmed. She also sheds, which is normal for her breed mix but was a contributing factor for the previous home. This is not a reflection of Kiara’s quality—it’s a reminder that placement matters. Temperament & Behavior Friendly, affectionate, and social with humans of all ages Playful, goofy, and engaging personality Handler-oriented and enjoys connection Does best with structure, routine, and clear expectations Kiara is a working-breed mix—intelligent, aware, and responsive when given direction. Training & Foundation Kiara comes with a strong, professionally built foundation: House manners Leash manners (walks well with no pulling) Socialization and neutrality in public environments Crate familiarity Foundational obedience including the basic 7 commands She understands how to exist in a structured environment and is set up for continued success. Dogs: Dog selective Best with calm, neutral, well-socialized dogs Requires proper, structured introductions Also thrives as the only dog Cats: Shows little interest, has never fully engaged with the cats here on property Children: Kiara is great with humans of all ages and has shown friendly, appropriate interactions. Ideal Home Kiara is best suited for: A structured, lower-chaos home An adopter who will provide leadership and consistency A home that understands working-breed needs Someone prepared for normal shedding of a Doberman/Shepherd mix She is not a “hands-off” dog—but she is absolutely a capable and rewarding one. Final Thoughts Kiara has already proven she can learn, adapt, and grow. She is not the problem—the environment was. In the right home, Kiara will be: Loyal Affectionate Playful Well-mannered and engaged She is a good dog with a strong foundation who simply needs the right structure and placement to thrive. 📍 Located in Poolesville, MD 🐾 Spayed, fully vetted, and professionally trained 📚 Adoption includes post-adoption support through K9netic Pack
