Story
Some dogs come into rescue scared, shut down, or uncertain. And then there are dogs like Ralphie… the ones who somehow still choose love. This beautiful boy was found wandering as a stray in a rural Tennessee county — underweight, homeless, and with every reason in the world not to trust people. But from the moment he was safe, Ralphie did the exact opposite. He leaned in. He loved harder. He quietly showed everyone around him what a truly special soul looks like. At only 10 months old, this Min Pin/Kelpie mix already carries the heart of an old friend. The kind of dog who watches your face carefully, stays close without asking for anything, and seems to understand emotions in a way that almost doesn’t feel possible. Ralphie is the dog who would sit beside you through heartbreak, grief, loneliness, or hard days without ever leaving your side. He has the heart of a therapist wrapped inside the body of a young, goofy, loving pup. And despite whatever his past looked like, Ralphie has blossomed almost overnight in foster care. In just one week, he learned the doggie door, crate training, leash walking, house manners, and how to trust that kindness was finally here to stay. He wants so badly to be a “good boy,” and honestly… he already is. Ralphie currently weighs about 27 pounds and will likely fill out to around 30 pounds as an adult. He is wonderful with dogs, cats, chickens, kids, and every person he meets. No drama. No aggression. No chaos. Just a sweet, grateful dog who wants a family to love with his whole heart. Some dogs are pets. Some dogs are companions. And then once in a while, a dog like Ralphie comes along — a soul dog. The kind you remember forever. If you think you might be the person meant for Ralphie, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and tell us where you live so we can send you an adoption application. Please share. Somewhere out there is the family whose life is about to change because of this boy. ❤️   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 5, 2026, 11:16 am

Well hello there! My name is Babe Dumbo, and yes, I know what you're thinking—my ears are pretty spectacular. They're big, soft, and perfect for hearing when someone opens a treat bag from across the room! My siblings, Babe Lady, Babe Tramp, and I found ourselves in a crowded shelter in Alabama, which is no place for little puppies. Thankfully, the wonderful folks at K-9 Lifesavers swooped in and gave us the second chance we deserve. Now I'm ready to find a forever family of my very own! I'm believed to be a Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund mix, which means I've got a whole lot of personality packed into a small package. I'm a friendly, happy-go-lucky pup who loves attention and is always ready to make new friends. Whether it's playtime, cuddle time, or exploring the world, I'm happy just to be by your side. At my young age, I'm in the perfect stage for training and socialization. I'm eager to learn, ready for adventures, and looking for a family that will help me grow into the best dog I can be. If you're searching for a sweet, lovable puppy with adorable ears and an even bigger heart, then I might just be your perfect match. Apply today and let's start our happily-ever-after together! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. 📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. • Rescue Story: Meet Leeju👋 She was found on the street in South Korea at just 2 months old and sent to a high-risk city shelter along with her four siblings. Luckily, she was rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team and sent to her foster home 2 months later. Her foster family has been taking good care of her since, and she’s been living peacefully with the resident dog. LeeJu is now more than ready for a furever home! • Personality: Friendly, Curious, Cautious LeeJu is such a friendly and lovable pup with a curious and cautious personality. Her energy level is mid-low as she mostly chills in a kennel at home and prefers to have light walkies mainly for the bathroom. • Affinity with - Dogs: Super friendly with other dogs as long as they are not too large or aggressive. She doesn’t respond to barking dogs as well. She currently lives with a resident dog in her foster home, so she will be a good fit for a family with other furry companions. - Cats: Good with cats. - Adults/Kids: Good with both adults & kids. She is calm even when kids pet her. • Walking Manners: Well-mannered! • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, mainly using the bathroom outdoors but sometimes indoors when she can’t go outside. • Bathing/Brushing: Very good. • Car Rides: Not anymore. She got better at car rides. Her foster tries to walk her for potty before jumping into the car. • Separation Anxiety: None. • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 • Barks/Howls: A little bit towards continued noise from outside the house. • Appetite/Food Allergies: She likes any sort of food! / No food allergies. • Likes/Dislikes: She loves being petted on her face while snuggling up to your side! / She feels cold easily due to her short coat. • Health: Had surgery on both knees in 2021 and recovered fully. Now maintaining her weight is important. Otherwise, she’s healthy! 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee.
