Story
If Rayne were a human, she would be a supermodel...but she would run, not walk, down the runway! She is a willowy young girl, 54 pounds, with long thin legs and a beautiful face framed by perfectly shaped and expressive brows. Rayne has a sweet demeanor, she loves to move, and she loves getting scratches; especially behind her ears.  She is a joyful young lady at 3 years old - with a happy and loving nature. Rayne was rescued from PG County's euthanasia list and now she needs to find people to give her the life she deserves.  Rayne LOVES to walk, run, fetch a ball, and play.  She is a girl with energy and would be great for active adopters who enjoy hikes or long walks.  She would do best with a fenced yard to play in. Rayne is eager to learn and eager to bond.  Her ideal adopter will work with her on training - and she is smart so she will learn quickly. She loves to ride in the car, enjoys the fresh air on her face, and the feeling of adventure! She wags her tail when other dogs pass.  Rayne is looking for a place where she can run and play and then rest easy in the comfort and safety of her forever home. PAW adopts in the DC, MD, northern VA, and southern PA area only. ##2324335##

Story
Please contact Chandler Jaffe (chandler.jaffe@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Handsome boy seeking fresh start and love! BUTCH NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Butch         Best Guess for Breed:  Doberman  Best Guess for Age:  2 years as of June 2025         SEX: Male   Approximate Weight:  77 lbs   Gets Along With: Butch does well with other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Kuwaiti shelter - MUST have an adopter before June 18 to come to the DC area on a flight that day   All about Butch:Butch was purchased and imported all the way to Kuwait as a young puppy. And then he grew into an adult dog and his family said nah, you know what, he's not cute and squishy any longer. So they dumped him. In a Kuwaiti shelter.   He's been in the shelter for over a year. Shelter staff say he plays great with the other dogs there, but prefers human company. They say he is very smart and so easy to train.   Dobermans are truly awesome dogs. Scary smart, as many owners say (IYKYK!). Butch's only chance at having his own home, of getting out of the shelter is by getting an adopter here. If this handsome boy is the one you have been seeking - apply now! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
Dakota is a very affectionate, gentle, 97 pound, 7-8 year old female black/tan Doberman with a calm and friendly personality. She is a bit overweight and on a journey to a healthier leaner body. Dakota is a special needs dog; she had a cancerous mass which was removed. There are currently no signs of cancer but she should be monitored to see if it returns. Dakota greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and gentle kisses. Dakota is calm and well-mannered. She is content to take naps and relax. If she is left alone she does whine and pace. She is not destructive but will chew a blanket. She sleeps through the night on her dog bed. Dakota will do best in a new home where someone is home with her. She does well when riding in the car. Dakota spent some with another female Doberman and got along well with her. She would be a good companion for an older or more relaxed playmate rather than rough-housing with a young puppy. Dakota is fostered in Maryland.
