Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Snoop is a 1-year-old neutered purebred, male Doberman, who was surrendered to UDR from the breeder with his two sisters. Snoop tends to be on the shy and timid side but his spirit shines through despite the challenges he has faced. Snoop is very loving with his foster mom and dad and embodies the playful and adventurous essence of puppyhood.  Beneath his lively exterior, Snoop reveals a vulnerability that only serves to deepen the connection with his caring companions. There are some men that do scare him so we can only venture at what his past may have experienced. Snoop will need a fully fenced yard as this boy can jump like a high stepping gazelle! Yes, Snoop can clear a 4-6 foot fence with ease. Snoop is fully vetted, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped and neutered! If you have room in your heart for a courageous soul in need of a understanding home, Snoop is ready to make a lasting impression on your life and be your loyal companion. Visit our website at www.uniteddobermanrescue.org to submit your adoption application and welcome Snoop into your home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Arlo – The Gentle Giant with a Heart (and Belly) of Gold Ever seen a Doberman the size of a small horse with the soul of a teddy bear? Meet Arlo – part majestic statue, part goofy ball-fetcher, all heart. This handsome hunk had a bit of a rocky start in life, but he’s bounced back with resilience, charm, and a love for belly rubs that borders on a spiritual experience. Arlo is what we call a Tigger Doberman – bouncy, happy, sweet, and always down to snuggle. He’s got the kind of gentle soul that makes people go “awww” even when he’s just sitting there, carrying a tennis ball around like it’s the Hope Diamond. Catching it? Eh. Optional. But carrying it? That’s his jam. He’s fantastic with people and gets along well with other big dogs (he's a bit of a gentle bro). As for cats and small critters? We’re not 100% sure. He hasn’t shown much interest in chasing little things on his hikes, so there’s hope – but slow intros and supervision are the way to go. Now, about that walk. Arlo has what we lovingly call a goofy gait – a little bouncy, a little wobbly, and 100% adorable. But don’t you dare pity him. Arlo is not here for your “aww poor baby” energy. He’s here to MOVE. His motto? “You don’t use it, you lose it.” So lace up those shoes, grab a leash, and let’s hit the trail. Doesn’t have to be far – just enough to catch a breeze, sniff a few bushes, and keep that 75-pound frame in shape. Let’s review Arlo’s must-haves: Fenced yard? Non-negotiable. The tie-out life is not for this proud pup. It's like asking you to do your business in the middle of Times Square. Hard pass. Walks? Yes please. Short, sweet, and regular – just how he likes them. Belly rubs? Daily. Possibly hourly. Arlo runs on belly rubs the way some of us run on caffeine. And here’s the real prize: once Arlo loves you, you’ll know. How? Because he’ll give you the grin. A full-face, ear-to-ear, pearly-white smile that could melt glaciers. That’s when you know you’ve officially won over this big bouncy boy – and it’s worth every minute. Arlo is ready to find his forever people – the kind who don’t mind a little drool on their tennis balls, who appreciate a bouncy stride, and who know that love sometimes comes wrapped in 75 pounds of Doberman delight. Think you’re the one? Arlo's waiting – tennis ball in mouth, belly up, and heart open. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet 9 week old Helen – Your Future Drama Queen in Training! Purebred Doberman Puppy | Female | Black & Rust Beauty Step aside, commoners—Queen Helen has entered the chat. At just 9 weeks old, this black and rust purebred Doberman already knows exactly who she is: fabulous, feisty, and totally in charge. With her sleek coat, soulful eyes, and legs built for zoomies, Helen is a stunning little package of Doberman energy. But let’s be clear—she’s not just a pretty face. This girl is a dramatic diva, a sass factory, and a future ruler of your household (unless you lovingly keep her in check). Helen is not a fan of her crate—and she’ll absolutely let you know it. She believes she belongs where the people are, preferably with a throne (aka your couch) and a full-time staff (aka you). She’s got big opinions for such a little lady and isn’t afraid to voice them when she doesn’t agree with your rules. That’s why Helen needs a home with structure, patience, and someone who won’t fall for her irresistible pouty face every time she tries to get her way. (Good luck with that, by the way.) Helen’s Royal Resume Includes: Purebred perfection with extra personality Crate protests worthy of an Oscar A dazzling combo of sass, smarts, and snuggles Already running for “Most Likely to Get Her Way” Potential couch monarch and professional treat negotiator Helen is equal parts sugar and spice—and if you’ve got what it takes to raise a Doberman diva, you’ll be rewarded with a loyal, loving, endlessly entertaining best friend for life. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please help us by fostering  TODAY!!!!! ________________________________________________________ We try to evaluate  most of our adoptable dogs temperament  with a senior UDR rescuer before it goes into a foster home. This helps ensure we place it in the right foster home. We may have some dogs in rescue who are not on our website that we are getting to know and who may need a foster home. Our goal is to place dogs in the right foster and adoptive homes! Of course it is up to the fosters to further evaluate the dogs while they are living in the home.  New arrivals coming soon! We partner with Doberman Rescue of Northern Texas, High Desert Doberman Rescue and many other rescues across the US and world. We have new Dobermans coming in often and have the ability to take in a homeless Dobermans the same day we are contacted should we get a surrender request. We can always use fosters to be on the ready to foster one of these new arrivals!         Please apply on our website to foster, or give a shout out if you can help any of these dogs!! As always fosters get the first chance to adopt! You provide a safe, loving home with daily structure until your foster dog gets adopted. Time frame is anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months. If you have a dog, your dog may like a friend. We try match up the dog with the foster home best suited for each dog in need. UDR supplies all the dog food, some supplies and always pays for vet care. Going on vacation and worried you will have to find a place for your foster dog?? NO worries!!!Know we DO have numerous options for vacation boarding and doing temporary fostering of your foster dog while you take that much needed vacation. We are also in need of short term fosters, those foster homes who would take in a foster dog on a short term basis, a weekend, a week or two, even to help in emergency or medical situations. Please fill out our foster application today and help a dog in need!!!  Fosters get first chance to adopt their foster dogs, so this might be a great way to "test" out your new friend. Fostering has its perks!! Many fosters do join the foster failure club, meaning they end up adopting their foster dog! Why should I foster a dog? Fostering a dog is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have (other than adopting, of course). By taking an animal in need temporarily into your home you’re: freeing up a spot so a shelter can take in another dog. giving your foster dog the time he needs to be ready for adoption. helping us learn more about the dog so he can end up in the best home possible. socializing the dog to a home environment and possibly getting him used to being around other pets and different types of people. Thank you for helping us help them! Fostering saves lives. Be a hero, foster a dog in need!
