Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Kipper: 75 Pounds of Drama, Cuddles, and Loyalty No adoption fee for the lucky person who adopts Kipper! Breed Mix: Doberman(ish) – DNA says 54% Doberman, 13% Great Pyrenees, 12% Labrador, and the rest is a delightful mystery Age: 5 years, 5 months (born Oct 2020, a Libra if you're into that) Current Mood: Slightly suspicious and very protective Eye Color: Brown, and yes, they're judging you Training: Knows more commands than your average toddler Fence: Required — he needs his own turf to patrol Good with: Adults who get him Not good with: Kids, cats, or drama from other dogs  Who is Kipper? Kipper is a house-trained, couch-hogging, treat-sniffing good boy with a serious work ethic when it comes to guarding his people. He’s part Doberman, part goofball, part asshat and 100% devoted to his human — once he decides you're cool, you’re basically royalty. He doesn’t do crates anymore — he’s evolved. But don’t worry he willl if required, he’s a trustworthy gentleman when left alone.  Vocal Talents: Kipper’s got opinions. You’ll know when the mail comes, when a leaf moves, or when he’s ready for some ear scratches. His bark says “stranger danger,” but his heart says “bring it on.” He also does this weird Wookiee-speak when he’s happy. It’s weird. It’s adorable.  Smarter Than Your Ex This dog knows a lot and has been schooled in proper obedience! He’s so food-motivated he’d probably learn how to file your taxes if kibble was involved. He LOVES training games and mental challenges. Hide his treats and watch the detective go to work. Agatha Christie wishes she had this nose. Kipper needs a job!!! Let’s Get Physical Kipper needs daily workouts and a fenced yard. Prefers games of fetch in the yard, walks around the block, or trick training in the living room — he’s game.  &#226&#154&#160&#239&#184&#143 Stranger Danger Here’s the tea: Kipper does not welcome strangers with open paws. He thinks he’s a bouncer at the exclusive club that is your home. Barking, growling, snapping disaproval — he’ll do what it takes to keep the weirdos out (including your friends). BUT — and it’s a big but — if you introduce people calmly, on his terms, he’ll come around. He might still be suspect of them, but rest assured and know, no one will be messing with you or your stuff when Kipper is present.  Kipper’s Dream Home: No other pets, thank you very much. No kids — not because he’s mean, just because he’s overstimulated and they are slightly dramatic. A fenced yard, a comfy couch, lotsa treats and some balls and squeaky toys. Humans who love training, walks, and working with a dog who’s a bit extra, sometimes a complete jerk, but totally worth it. Bonus points if you appreciate a dog who’s emotionally intelligent… and often suspicious of anyone he deems as outsider to his royal circle. Kipper is: &#226&#156&#133 Hilariously expressive-he has a lot to say when he talks &#226&#156&#133 Brilliant and eager to please &#226&#156&#133 Protective &#226&#157&#140 Not here for kids, cats, or dog park politics Kipper is not a dog for the weak minded. Adopter must be dog savvy, smarter then the average Doberman, willing to train and burn off Kippers energy and be ready for the time of your life! If you want a loyal best friend who’s got personality for days, impeccable house manners (potty trained, crate trained!), and a heart of gold (you will have to look deep under a very protective layer), Kipper just might be your guy. Apply now to adopt Kipper! He’s ready to patrol your home, love you fiercely, and possibly narrate your life with his dramatic vocals. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Doberman Puppy Bonsai! Bonsai is a melanistic 7-month-old puppy with a big heart and an even bigger comeback story. He and his brother Onyx were found as strays and came into rescue needing some immediate TLC—both boys were very skinny, Bonsia was exceptionally emaciated.  Thanks to quick veterinary care and lots of love, both pups have healed up beautifully and are now doing great! Bonsai is dog friendly and enjoys the company of other pups. He has not been cat tested, but as a young puppy he’s very moldable and at a great age to learn appropriate manners with cats in a patient, structured home. He’s everything you love about a young pup: curious, resilient, and ready to take on the world with his person by his side. Bonsai is at the perfect age to grow up alongside his forever family, learn all the good things, and become an amazing companion. This sweet Doberman boy has already shown how resilient he is—now he just needs a safe, loving forever home to complete his happy ending. Microchipped, neutered, vaccinated, ready to start his new life! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Nellie a stunning 8-year-old blue Doberman girl with a classic cropped and docked look and a heart just as beautiful as her sweet eyes. She’s the kind of dog who turns heads everywhere she goes—and once you meet her, she’ll win your heart just as fast. She has some hair thinning and areas of hair loss. She may need a little extra skin care and a family who understands that her beauty shines far beyond her coat. She is also heartworm positive but has started treatment and is on road to recovery. Nellie is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves her people and enjoys being part of the action. She’s ready for a stable, loving home where she can settle in, be cherished, and finally stop worrying about what’s next. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a gentle soul and don’t mind a little “less fur, more love,” Nellie just might be your perfect match.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.United Doberman Rescue Adoption Process Application Submission: Complete the adoption application thoroughly. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Doberman puppy Trooper   Trooper is a 6-8-month-old purebred black and rust Doberman boy with the kind of joyful, wiggly spirit only a young Doberman can bring. Full of curiosity, playfulness, and puppy enthusiasm, Trooper is discovering the world one zoomie at a time. Trooper originally came from a breeder and was loved by his senior family, but life took an unexpected turn when his dad sadly passed away. His mom loved him dearly but was simply too frail in age to keep up with the boundless energy of a growing Doberman puppy. After much thought, the family made the difficult but responsible decision to find Trooper a home where he can thrive and grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. Like most Doberman youngsters, Trooper is smart, playful, and delightfully goofy. He absolutely loves playing with other dogs, but can be fearful of some so will need work on socializing and will happily bounce around the yard inviting everyone to join his puppy party. His personality is affectionate, curious, and full of life. Trooper will need to be immersed in socialization with both people and other dogs as he did not get this in his previous home and many new things are scary to him! The good news? Trooper already has a great start. He is crate trained and learning the basics that will help him become a wonderful companion. With continued structure, training, and plenty of exercise, this handsome boy will grow into an incredible Doberman partner. Trooper will be fully vetted prior to adoption and is ready to find a family that understands the commitment and joy of raising a young Doberman. If you're ready for puppy kisses, Doberman zoomies, and a loyal best friend in the making, Trooper might be your guy. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Bobbi This beautiful Doberman girl is estimated to be around 3 years old and was found as a stray in Texas. Despite whatever she’s been through, Bobbi is already showing us just how resilient and loving she is. With her classic cropped ears and docked tail, she’s the picture of a true Dobie—elegant, alert, and full of heart. Bobbi is heartworm positive, so she’ll need a calm, low-key routine while she undergoes treatment and recovery. That means no high-energy play or overexertion for now—but plenty of love, cozy naps, and gentle companionship are exactly what she’s looking for.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.United Doberman Rescue Adoption Process Application Submission: Complete the adoption application thoroughly.
