Story
Meet Dobby! This affectionate boy is looking for a FURever home where he can cuddle up with his person or family and play fetch. He's very smart and is already housebroken, knows no, listens well, and has a desire to keep learning what you're willing to teach him! He'd make a great partner for someone that enjoys a nice run or jog and then coming home to relax, his preferred relaxation being a nice bone to chew on. He enjoys a nice chase so probably best with no feline friends, possibly a selective canine companion, but has done well with children. If his zest for life doesn't win you over, his adorably large ears surely will! Apply to bring this big boy home today! All Abandoned Pet Project Rescue adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at bit.ly/APPRAdoptableDogs. For more information, you can email adopt@abandonedpetproject.org.

Story
Meet Lucy! Lucy is a very high energy, fun-loving, loyal sweetheart. She is very playful, loves to run, and is VERY social. Lucy can be pretty strong-willed, but she is also very smart. She knows her training, but is too stubborn sometimes to obey. She really needs someone to bond with, that will give her the time and devotion she needs. She definitely needs a lot of training, as she is still under 1 year old and we cannot afford the proper training she needs. She also needs a LOT of space, as she LOVES to run and play catch! A fenced in yard, and a very active owner would be best for her. We rescued her at 2 months old from a local shelter but we live in an apartment in the city, and due to heath issues, I cannot keep up with her energy. Even though its hard, we have accepted that we are not the best fit for her, and have chosen to see if we can find someone who can truly give her what she needs! She is so sweet, and the biggest baby, and has so much potential to be your best friend!

Story
Beaker is a 2-year-old, 14-pound Miniature Pinscher with the sweetest eyes and a heart full of untapped love. Life at the shelter has been overwhelming for this shy little guy, and while he’s still figuring things out, we know there’s a warm, wonderful dog waiting to bloom with the right person.Right now, Beaker is understandably shut down and reserved – the noise and chaos of shelter life is a lot for a sensitive pup like him. But even through the uncertainty, he shows kindness and gentleness. He’s friendly, gets along well with other dogs, and quietly takes in the world around him.Beaker needs a calm, patient home where he can feel safe and take things at his own pace. A place where someone will give him the time and space to come out of his shell and discover joy again. With love and reassurance, we believe Beaker will blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion. If you have a quiet home, a gentle heart, and room on your couch (and in your life) for a sweet soul looking for a second chance, Beaker might be the one for you.Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
