Story
Meet Dobby! This affectionate boy is looking for a FURever home where he can cuddle up with his person or family and play fetch. He's very smart and is already housebroken, knows no, listens well, and has a desire to keep learning what you're willing to teach him! He'd make a great partner for someone that enjoys a nice run or jog and then coming home to relax, his preferred relaxation being a nice bone to chew on. He enjoys a nice chase so probably best with no feline friends, possibly a selective canine companion, but has done well with children. If his zest for life doesn't win you over, his adorably large ears surely will! Apply to bring this big boy home today! All Abandoned Pet Project Rescue adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at bit.ly/APPRAdoptableDogs. For more information, you can email adopt@abandonedpetproject.org.

Story
Meet the Wonderful Zena. She is an 11 year old 55 pound red Doberman mix. Zena is a rescue pup that's been with us since she was 4 months old. She was originally surrendered to the SPCA with her siblings. We have had the joy of taking care of her for the last 11 years. Zena is a medium to low energy lady who loves to play with her squeak toys, get treats or run around exploring the yard. She gets along with small dogs but is not currently living with other pets. . Zena loves to cuddle up on the couch or bed for a nap or bedtime. An ideal home for her would be one with a quiet/calm environment with no small kids. Zena is crate, leash and house trained and knows a few tricks. She can sit, stay, say please, lay down, rollover and stand up. She is one smart pup. This special lady is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you? Story
Meet Mortiz and Nami, 9-month-old Doberman siblings who’ve been together since birth. I’m hoping to keep them together—they’re deeply bonded and full of love. They’re still being house-trained but do well with a schedule. Mortiz is a big softie who cries when left alone but listens well. Nami is more independent but very gentle. Both are affectionate cuddle bugs who will happily share your bed—or take it over. They’ve been raised around kids (my 6 nephews) and have never shown aggression. My 3-year-old nephew has even hand-fed them. They do bark when walked but it’s more excitement than aggression—they love exploring and meeting new people. Sadly, due to apartment rules, I have to rehome them. It’s a tough decision, but I’m looking for a loving, patient home that can offer them the care, affection, and space they deserve.

Story
This goofy fun boy reminds us so much of Scooby Doo!!! Choco is a 3 year old 68 lb lab ridgeback mix, or as we like to call it, a Heinz 57 with a dash of loving FUN! This big brown silly boy loves to play, roughhouse, and snuggle. He's a gentle giant who walks great on a leash and minds well, but don't expect him to be too serious. No cats, small dogs, or farm animals for this big fella, but he'd love a buddy his size to play with. And the best part? He's totally housetrained, non-destructive, and gentle with his favorite stuffed sloth. If you're looking for a good ol' boy who'll keep you laughing, Choco's your guy!!! To meet Choco, please fill out an application! Application available at https://www.pawsofloverescue.com/adoption-application. Adoption donation includes spay/neuter, microchip, deworming, dhpp vaccinations, rabies shot, bordetella nose spray and any other necessary procedures prior to adoption. Dallas/Ft. Worth areaApplications can be found online at www.pawsofloverescue.com, under the adopt tab.  We require an approved application before a meet and greet is set up.  April 28, 2025, 3:20 pm
