Meet Darla!Darla is a stunning 1-year-old Doberman mix with brains, beauty, and enough energy to keep life exciting! This girl is athletic, agile, and incredibly smart. She would thrive with an active family who understands and loves the Doberman breed.Darla is currently in training with Benji’s guidance and is doing great! She’s working on her leash manners and continues to improve every day. She’s very responsive and eager to learn — especially when food is involved (and with Darla, food is always involved ??). She is crate and house trained.She plays well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to burn off energy. Though, she loves hanging with friends she would be okay as the only dog in the home. However, no cats for this girl — her prey drive is strong.Darla is quite the athlete — she can climb a 6’ fence, so she’ll need a secure yard and a home committed to supervision and continued structure. She excels with obstacles and would likely love agility, advanced obedience, or any activity that challenges her mind and body.She eats like she’s never seen a meal before, and we’re continuing to help her gain weight and build healthy muscle. Like many young Dobermans, she can be a little mischievous — socks are considered a delicacy in her world — so management and consistency will be important.Darla is not a beginner dog. She needs an experienced, committed owner who understands high-drive breeds and is ready to invest in continued training.
