Story
Meet Darla!Darla is a stunning 1-year-old Doberman mix with brains, beauty, and enough energy to keep life exciting! This girl is athletic, agile, and incredibly smart. She would thrive with an active family who understands and loves the Doberman breed.Darla is currently in training with Benji’s guidance and is doing great! She’s working on her leash manners and continues to improve every day. She’s very responsive and eager to learn — especially when food is involved (and with Darla, food is always involved ??). She is crate and house trained. She plays well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to burn off energy. Though, she loves hanging with friends she would be okay as the only dog in the home. However, no cats for this girl — her prey drive is strong.Darla is quite the athlete — she can climb a 6’ fence, so she’ll need a secure yard and a home committed to supervision and continued structure. She excels with obstacles and would likely love agility, advanced obedience, or any activity that challenges her mind and body. She eats like she’s never seen a meal before, and we’re continuing to help her gain weight and build healthy muscle. Like many young Dobermans, she can be a little mischievous — socks are considered a delicacy in her world — so management and consistency will be important.Darla is not a beginner dog. She needs an experienced, committed owner who understands high-drive breeds and is ready to invest in continued training. In return, she will give you loyalty, intelligence, and a bond like no other. If you’re looking for a smart, athletic, devoted companion and you’re ready to channel her energy into something amazing, Darla might just be your girl.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
This beautiful boy is special needs — he is blind — but don’t let that fool you. Bane is incredibly adaptable and learning his new environment quickly. His foster shares that he figured out where the food and water bowls were almost immediately and is already navigating the house like a pro.He is currently living with other dogs and a cat. Slow, thoughtful introductions are being done to give him time to relax and settle into his surroundings without feeling overwhelmed — and he’s doing wonderfully. Bane loves to stay close to his person and bonds deeply. He gets around very well, but because he cannot see, he can startle easily. For that reason, he would do best in a calm, quiet household without small children. He is housebroken and truly quite the gentleman. With a patient, understanding family, Bane will be an incredibly loyal and loving companion.

Story
Meet Chico!Chico is a one year-old male Miniature Pinscher mix, who was part of a large owner surrender. All the dogs surrendered were supposed to be Miniature Pinscher Chihuahua mixes, but Chico looks to include some Basenji mix, his curly Q tail is the best! Chico is a very friendly guy. He is a tad shy, but super sweet and loves attention. He gets along with other dogs, although we are unsure about cats. He loves children. Chico has been neutered and is current with all his vaccines. Chico would do great as the only pup in the home and would also be appropriate for apartment living. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet ChicaChica is a 1-year-old Chihuahua/Min Pin mix with a tiny body and a giant heart. At under 25 pounds full grown, she’s the perfect little shadow — and she takes that job very seriously. If you’re in the kitchen, she’s there. If you move rooms, she’s already ahead of you. Even when you’re just sitting together, she prefers to be right by your side like the loyal little angel she is.Chica is spayed, heartworm negative, house trained, and doing great with leash walking. She’s still polishing up her crate training skills, but she’s a smart, curious girl who catches on quickly. She just needs gentle reassurance at first — someone to tell her she’s safe and everything is okay. Once she feels secure, her sweet, affectionate personality shines and she will shower you with nonstop love. She would thrive as an only dog where she can soak up all the attention and enjoy a calm environment. Chica prefers older children and a peaceful home where she can relax without too much chaos. If you’re looking for a devoted little companion who will stick by your side and love you endlessly, Chica is ready to be your tiny best friend. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt.
