Story

Rocket “Rocky” is a 3 month full blood blue Doberman with a birth defect that paralyzed his hind legs. He was rescued from previous owners who left him to fend for himself outside. He recovered from extreme illnesses due to neglect with proper medical intervention. He has no idea he’s “different” from other dogs and loves to play with dogs, cats and people. We are working on play biting because he doesn’t know how strong he is, and he is starting to show improvement. But he is not aggressive even if food is involved. He has hind support straps that can be used to assist in walking and a wheelchair to walk on his own. He scoots around inside but wears diapers or pants to protect his tail from rub burns. He recently completed his heartworm treatment, and the vet says he is doing great with no damage done to his heart.  He is now a very healthy two year old.  His fosters adore him and told us he is a fun and very loving dog. Dakota came to us in horrible shape he was nothing but bones the last picture is how he looked when he first came in. He had to have an emergency blood transfusion and not even three months later he is one healthy boy. He spent four years in a dog run and he was part of a cruelty seizure that we were involved in. He was in the worst shape. He is a sweet boy although very shy at first he does warm up fast. He loves toys and loves to play w the other dogs. He may need a home w older children since he is scared at first. He is 4 years old and he has completed hw treatment all shots microchip and just had a bravecto for fleas and ticks and he is neutered . Let me know if interested adoption fee is $75
