Bronco is a beautiful 18-month-old Doberman/catahoula mix weighing about 50 pounds. He’s friendly, playful, incredibly smart, and has the sweetest personality. He loves people and enjoys playtime just as much as cuddles and attention. This special boy is doing great in his kennel at the shelter, and we believe he may already be potty trained, although we can’t guarantee it while he’s in the shelter environment. Momma does well with large dogs but should not be placed in a home with small dogs or cats. She is a true Velcro girl who would happily spend 24/7 with her family. Being left home alone is difficult for her, and she does best when she has canine companionship. She previously lived successfully in a multi-dog home and did well when left in a sturdy crate with the other dogs. However, she becomes stressed when she is the only dog. This handsome gentleman was running loose for several days with several smaller dogs when he and his companions were rescued by a caring group. The general consensus is that they somehow lost their loving home and suddenly found themselves on their own, facing the extreme Texas heat. Werthers earned his name because he is just that sweet! He is a senior gentleman in excellent health who is housebroken, has excellent manners, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Werthers is heartworm negative, fully vaccinated, and neutered, so he is ready to find the loving forever home he deserves. Due to his recent flea infestation and exposure to the harsh Texas weather, Werthers has experienced some hair loss. It may be related to flea irritation and possibly color dilution alopecia, but the good news is that his hair is already growing back!If you`re looking for an easygoing, well-mannered, sweet senior who will fit beautifully into your family, Werthers is your boy!

She regularly attends doggie daycare and has done wonderfully with other dogs in that environment.Unfortunately, as Lincoln has matured, she has developed some resource guarding towards the other pet in her home, initially around high-value food and more recently around her person. Her family has been working with a professional trainer and, although these interactions have been noisy, Lincoln has not bitten and has never shown resource guarding toward humans.After a lot of thought, her family believes Lincoln will be happiest as the only dog in her home, where she can be the queen of her castle while still enjoying appropriate socialization with other dogs outside the home.And this girl comes with some serious training!?? Roxie is a 150% lovebug! Belly rubs, affection, and being close to her people are among her favorite things. She has an automatic sit, politely alternates paws when shaking hands, and is housebroken. Roxie is so trusting and lays on her back for belly rubs. She is simply a very good girl. We can only wonder how a dog as sweet and loving as Roxie has found herself at a local shelter four separate times. Her story began when she was surrendered as a puppy. She was adopted and enjoyed a home for several months before returning to the shelter as a stray. Luckily, she was adopted again and spent the next seven years with a family before, for reasons unknown, finding herself back at the shelter. She was adopted once more, but that home lasted only about five months. At some point during the years in between, it appears Roxie may have even had puppies. Through it all, she has remained a sweet, affectionate girl who loves people and is ready for the stability she has been missing. Roxie deserves a forever home where she will be cherished, spoiled with belly rubs, and never again wonder where she belongs. She is ready to be someone’s very best girl!
