Story
✨ Meet Jenny! ✨ 🐾 8-month-old Poodle Mix 🐾 Shy but full of puppy energy (think toddler!) 🐾 Non-shedding, but professional grooming every 2–3 months is a must (we cannot guarantee hypoallergenic). Nail trims every 6 weeks. Jenny is a sweet, playful, shy girl who loves fetch and chew toys. She’s crate trained, mostly house trained (occasional accidents if rushed 😉), and would do best in a home with another small, playful dog—or as your cherished one-and-only. She adores her sister Sally, and while they comfort each other at events, they will thrive better in separate homes. Please do not request them as a pair. 💕 🚫 No medium/large dogs 🚫 No kids under 10 🚫 No chain link fencing (she’s a climber/digger!) 🚫 No Acreages 🚫 No Dayhomes or Daycare type settings. ✅ Training with Joanna at For the Love of Paws is required. 📧 To apply: Email Heartprintsdogadoptions@gmail.com ➡️ Include a short bio about your family, home, fencing, and other pets. (Only those who provide a bio & are a potential match will be contacted.) 📣 Ask my rescue guardians for the About Our Rescue Document when you email them. We only accept applications from potential adopters in the following cities. At Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society, our priority is always the safety and wellbeing of the dogs in our care. To ensure we can best support them, we only adopt within the Edmonton Region, which includes: ➡️ Beaumont ➡️ Devon ➡️ Edmonton ➡️ Fort Saskatchewan ➡️ Leduc ➡️ St. Albert ➡️ Sherwood Park ➡️ Stony Plain ➡️ Spruce Grove ❌ We do not have the capacity to extend our services beyond this area, so please refrain from requests outside our region. ‼️ DISCLAIMER ‼️ We only adopt to force free homes, the adoptive family must continue force free practices after adoption. We are volunteer based and although we would love to respond to all the applications, we can only contact the application we want to move forward with.

If flyball, agility, rally obedience, or structured enrichment training sounds exciting — Scruffy is your boy. This is not a couch-potato puppy. Scruffy thrives on routine, mental stimulation, encouragement, and having a job to do. He is seeking an adult-only home that will channel his enthusiasm into positive, structured outlets. 🏡 House Training Scruffy is mostly house trained in his foster home. As with many puppies, a short adjustment period should be expected when transitioning to a new environment. Consistency and patience are essential. 💦 Excited Pee Alert Scruffy loves people — sometimes a little too much. He can experience excited urination when meeting new people. This is currently being managed with belly bands, crate decompression, and calm greetings. Continued training will be required. ❤️ Personality Happy, affectionate, people-loving, and always ready to go. Scruffy bonds deeply with his people and will thrive with adopters who enjoy training, activity, and engagement. 📍 Meet Scruffy In Person 🐶 Pet Valu Devon 🕛 12:00 – 2:00 PM 📅 Saturday, February 7,2026. ✨ If you’re looking for a driven, affectionate, high-energy pup who is ready to learn and work — Scruffy may be the right fit for you.

Story
🐾 **Meet Nacho** 🐾 **Terrier–Poodle Mix | Puppy (under 1 year old)** Nacho is a **sweet, sensitive young pup** who is still learning about the world and will thrive in a patient, supportive home. He enjoys **cuddling and companionship with other small breed dogs** and would benefit from having a calm canine friend. Nacho is currently learning to feel comfortable wearing a **harness and collar** in his foster home and will require continued guidance using **force-free, positive reinforcement methods only**. As part of his adoption, **force-free obedience training classes are mandatory**. Training is essential to help Nacho build confidence, develop good manners, and create a strong bond with his future family. Nacho **sleeps in his crate overnight**. If he cries at the crate door, this indicates he urgently needs a bathroom break. Adopters must be attentive to these cues and ensure the **yard is checked and secure** before letting him outside, with no unexpected animals or hazards present. Nacho is not comfortable wearing **dog clothing or boots** and prefers a simple, low-pressure environment. He is a gentle soul who will do best with routine, patience, and understanding as he continues to grow. 📍 **Meet Nacho in person** 📅 **February 7th** ⏰ **12:00 PM – 2:00 PM** 📌 **Pet Valu – Devon** 📩 **Interested in attending the Meet & Greet or learning more?** Please email: **[Heartprintsdogadoptions@gmail.com] (mailto:Heartprintsdogadoptions@gmail.com)** 📄 **Before applying**, all potential adopters must review our **About Our Rescue** document. Story
Tia is extremely affectionate, she has grown up with my 4 kids. From New born to bigger kids. She's very lazy and extremely loyal. She loves to lay in the sun and relax. She's very stubborn though and needs someone that can be dominate over her. I hate that I have to do this because she has always been with me since she was a baby. She came from NB with me, we drove here 2 years ago. She is my girl and I love her just as much as I love my kids. But I can not care for her like I once could. I've lost everything including my home and she deserves more then what I can currently provide. She needs a yard to lay in and protect with a family she loves. She is extremely protective, she hasn't bitten anyone but I know she would if you don't have control over her. So being very dominant is sooooo important with this breed. She will stop in her tracks if I say her name. So having that same affect with her is the number one thing I'll make sure of. I love her shneeds to go to the right owner.

Story
Django we got at the Edmonton Humane Society, he is very sweet and has amazing potential but we are unable to give him the active lifestyle that he deserves. He does need behavioral training that he does get aggressive over his food (especially dogs if close), we have kept the other dog in a different spot while feeding and there has been no issues. He also does seem to have some sort of allergy (not sure if environmental or food) but we are unable to figure out as we will be having a 2nd child in April and do not have the time or funds to look deep into it. He is sweet and carrying and does give sweet kisses but also has puppy tendencies and nibbles.

Skeeter

Chinese Crested

Male, Senior
Edmonton, AB
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Skeeter is an 8 year old hairy hairless Chinese Crested adopted 4 years ago from a rescue. He needs a single person household where there are no children, few visitors and few stressors in his life. He has fear related and anxiety issues for which he is on twice daily medications. With the person he trusts, he is a sweet and lovable dog. When I am home alone with him he is a quiet, happy guy. Around anyone else, he does not feel safe, is unpredictable, and may bite. He currently has a dog buddy and would do well with another chill dog in his home. He spends a good deal of his day sleeping in or out of his crate or on my lap. Reason for rehoming him - He is scared of my husband. This fear translates into barking and avoidance when he is out of his crate and most recently a bite. With medication and working with a behavioral specialist, his behavior has improved somewhat but not enough for either Skeeter or my husband to be comfortable.
