Available For Adoption. Please email us about yourself, and what kind of home you are offering to give Buttons. If this step is missed you not receive a reply from our rescue. My name is Buttons and I am a neutered male Shih Tzu Terrier Mix. I am 1 1/2 years old. I am crate trained and house trained 90% I do have the occasional accidents if I am not put outside right away. I am bell trained but I think it's my foster home placements dachshund Taffy who is ringing it. She has a forever family so please don't ask about her she has a home I want you to learn ALL about ME. I love walking on a leash and harness when the weather is warm right BRR. I am a typical puppy that I get into things I shouldn't. Things I am working on: I will table-surf if you leave food and drinks in my reach on end tables in your livingroom. I have been known to pee mark when stressed out so a belly band is handy when I move to my new family for the first couple weeks. I have chewed up lip balms containers, hand lotion and headphones, and cellphone cables. I am a typical puppy getting into things I shouldn't. Joanna at For The Love Of Paws Pet Services says I am a cutie but I need some training classes to help me transition to a new home. Training classes are required to adopt me from Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society. I love to play fetch with my soft green squeaker ball. I have a weird quirk with my kennel where I lunge at the door when you are shutting it. I don't want to go to bed. If go shh at me, and then shut the door slowly plus I have my toy I won't do this. I love my toy very much. I like to take it to bed, and share my meals with it, plus I like to take it outside to potty. You need to rescue my toy outside as I get puppy brain and forget to bring it back inside. I love to cuddle while watching TV or chilling in the dog bed. I love my dog friends in my foster home placement we play and love to wrestle. I would be very happy to have a dog friend in my new home but I just having you would be enough for me. I am very smart I bet I could be an amazing dog agility dog here I come or flyball it would be so much fun for me and you. We would get exercise and lots of laughter. I do SHED and require grooming every 4 months, and nail trims every 6 weeks. WOW you made it and read ALL about me and understand what type of home would be best for me. I would like a family with older children over the age of 10, I would like a dog sibling or I can be the center of your world. Please email my rescue telling them about your home and family so they can find the best match for me. Heartprintsdogadoptions@gmail.com

Story
“WOOFERS” (means hello in Doggy language) My name is Waffles ( because I am such a Sweet Special Needs Lady) I am a 4yr young, Chihuahua/Terrier mix (awesome right) I am so happy to tell you all about myself and perhaps we can become friends, or even better a Family. I am a beautiful loving girl who enjoys snuggling on the couch and watching whatever pleases you on TV. I enjoy doing little tricks for you (especially if you have treats …the sure way to any girl's heart.) I am very smart and love to learn. I am crate trained and house trained (I’m a Lady I remember so it’s outside for potty) Let me tell you why I’m Special. I have to have acupuncture on my back for my muscles as I can get ouchies there. I get this done every 4 months as it helps with toning and pain. I also need a home that has very few stairs (a ramp is even better but not required) and I also need a fenced yard to keep me very safe. In exchange for all your love, I will always let you know when someone comes to the door so you will not be scared. So Condos and Apartments are a big Nope for this girl. I am a girly girl and love going to the Spa to have my hair and nails done, this way my hair won’t just be everywhere it’s not supposed to be. I like to be an only fur child. But like human children, they are older (10+yrs) I am completely up to date on my vaccinations and dental and also microchipped and guess what I’m also spayed ( whatever that means …I think foster Mom says no babies for me) If I sound like a match for you we can maybe meet and chat. You can have your people talk to my people here at Heart Prints Dog Rescue, and we can all go from there. “WoofWoof” from Waffles ( TaTa for now in human language) Please tell my rescue all about your family and home when you email them at heartprintsdogadoptions@gmail.com

Story
WOOFERS (That means “Hello everyone “in Asha language) Hey it’s me Asha. I’m here to let you all know some amazingly great news… you can now maybe become my forever family. Yuppers my amazing rescue people said you can apply to adopt me if you follow the rescue rules and please read ALL my requirements because if you aren’t a fit for me the rescue loses time in finding me the right one. So on with my wishes and likes. I am a very smart girl. I need an active family that will spend time doing things with me. I do love to cuddle but want to learn and play and do puppy things. I BARK… so NO Apartments, Condos, or Townhomes. I’m a happy dog and will let you know it with the language of my people. So again NO to the above. NO Medium or large breed dogs in the home or who visit. No children under the age of 10. I am crate trained and love my time way from the busy times of day and feel safer sleeping in it as well during the nights. I am great with other dogs and cats and would love to have a playmate my size but only if that playmate is a well adjusted like puppers me. I would love to learn new tricks , as I’m so smart , so please remember to always be working on my training with me , after you attend the mandatory training course with the designated dog trainer that helps the rescue. My new family can have children but for my safety their ages need to be 10 or over. I have suffered and heals from a bad broken front leg, so small children might accidentally hurt me without meaning too. So please consider me for your family. If your people contact my people, maybe we can meet as well. And you can learn more about me. Please contact Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society @ Heartprintsdogadoptions@gmail.com Please email our rescue and ask for All About Our Rescue document.

Story
Hello, My name is Jersey and I am a princess! Technically, I am a 5 year old, 11 pound, female Brussels Griffon Terrier. My species often remind humans of a Wookie or Ewok from the Star Wars Movies. I have a nearly flat nose, an underbite and a heart of gold. I was born to be your companion! When my humans are home I stay by their side. I love to watch TV and video games and am happy to help give you a jump scare when something is sneaking up on you on the screen. I prefer not to be left alone for more than 5 hours but if you must be gone longer you can leave me a pee pad. I am not “crate trained,” whatever that is supposed to mean (Boxes make me nervous.) I love to go on walks and car rides but if you think I want to go out in weather below -20, well….that’s just preposterous! I am community minded so I joined the neighborhood watch as soon as I moved here. My foster mom says she doesn’t care what the dogs down the block are excited about but I don’t want her to ignore the danger so I tell her anyway in my cute little bark. When visitors come I am a little shy but I warm up to them as soon as they sit down and I can give them a proper sniff. I like other small dogs but big ones seem threatening. I don’t shed and I prefer to get a haircut every 3 months or so. I don’t love baths but I sure like the attention or being brushed and told I smell pretty afterward. I prefer to sleep on the bed with my humans but if they insist, I will sleep on my plush bed beside theirs. I currently eat ⅓ cup of food twice per day so that my greedy foster sister doesn’t eat all the food. Supposedly, I poop very little for a dog my size so I am easy to clean up after. This past February, I had luxating patella knee surgery on both my knees. I didn’t understand it but now I walk and run much better. I’m thankful to everyone who donated bottles, jewelry, and money for my care and my awesome vet at Lakeside Veterinary Care. I’m looking for a forever home that is knowledgeable about my breed, owns their own home, and will return my love and devotion. If you think this might be you please send an email to my rescue telling them about your home, family, yard and all you are offering to give me to be my adoptive forever home and family. Heartprintsdogadoptions@gmail.com Please ask my rescue the All About Our Rescue document as force free dog obedience training classes with Joanna at For The Love Of Paws Pet Services is a mandatory requirement to adopt any dog from Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society.

Adoption Fee: $650.00 I am looking for a family that is knowledgeable about my breed. I am very shy and nervous girl.My previous experiences and socialization was very limited. I would like a home that understands me realizes it will take time for me to come around too be the best that I can be. I am crated trained and I love my crate for safety, comfort, sleeping at night or when you are away from home for shopping, working etc... I am a barker for happiness barks, yay your home, to tell you all about my day, hey let me out I have to go pee or poop from my dog kennel. No Condos, No Apartments, No Townhouses. Looking for a family with a single detached home. No Medium or large breed dogs in the home or who visit. No Children under the age of 10 they scare me huge. I am NOT a toy I am a family companion dog who likes walks and by doing training with Joanna we can work on our bond. I require regular grooming as my fur can get nasty mats. Once I feel comfortable with you I give nose bop, feather kisses and I nibble on your clothes to self soothe at times. I am a yes love me, no you stay there type dog. I require force free dog obedience training classes with Joanna at For The Love Of Paws Pet Services Dog Training as part of my rescues adoption policies and it is mandatory, NO EXCEPTIONS. This is not part of my rescues adoption fee it is a separate cost to the family that adopts me. It is NOT included in my adoption fee. Please ask my rescue for the All About Our Rescue document as it explains the process and expectations to adopt me. Heartprintsdogadoptions@gmail.com

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Location: Edmonton, AB   Legacy is a two year old standard poodle. She is described as happy, friendly and outgoing. She is energetic and loves to chase things...even things she shouldn't! Unfortunately she isn't a match for a home with cats. Legacy can easily jump or scale a five foot fence so we'll want her new home to have a 6ft fence. Legacy loves to chase so that means she can't be off leash in unsecured areas. You'll need to help her spend her energy other ways and that will be fun because this girl is smart!  If you'd like to know more about her, please email us to start the conversation. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 3, 2023, 8:20 pm
