Story
This is Zena's story: she was left for dead on the side of the road in Mexico after she was hit by a car. A Good Samaritan was driving past and saw her moving. He picked her up and brought her to San Felipe Dog Rescue. Unfortunately Zeena ended up paralyzed in her back legs. Annemaria has fostered Zeena since just after she came to us. She takes her for acupuncture treatments and along with amazing supplements is she is a super happy little girl. She schooms super fast without her wheelchair and loves to fetch. In her wheelchair, she goes for nice walks and loves smelling everything. When she gets tired she gets pushed in her stroller which she also loves. She is a very loving dog and gets along well with all other dogs and kids. She is very smart and very patient. She wears a diaper during the day and is on a really good routine with potty time. She will be an amazing dog for a retired family or a family who works from home.

Story
Meet Pearl, a beautiful girl with a distinctive pink nose and soulful eyes that tell a story of incredible resilience. Pearl came to San Felipe Dog Rescue (SFDR) after facing repeated threats on her life from a resident in San Felipe. When she first arrived, she was terrified, unsure of people, and carried the heavy weight of her past. While Pearl was understandably scared of humans initially, she was always gentle and comfortable around other dogs. She has shown us that she has a tender heart. Because of her traumatic history, Pearl is currently afraid of men, which can cause her to be protective of herself and reactive, but we have witnessed that she can absolutely come around with lots of patience, love, and a slow approach. Today, Pearl has blossomed! She has come out of her shell, learned to trust us, and now greets her caregivers with love and confidence. Her transformation from a terrified survivor to a confident girl is nothing short of inspiring. Pearl is ready! She is ready for a forever home, a cozy bed, and a family to love. She is looking for a patient, understanding home (potentially with women or a gentle, slow-paced environment) to continue her journey. Transports can be arranged upon request. Adopt Pearl and give her the next chapter she deserves!
