Story
Camden is a handsome boy who loves to run and play with dog friends in the play yard. When he runs "zoomies" at top speed you can't help but smile. He's happy to be with his favorite people and absolutely loves receiving pets and massages from those he trusts. Camden also has earned the reputation of being a calming influence on some anxious dogs here at the refuge. Camden is shy around new people and in new situations. He came to Alaqua as a puppy, along with his brother, two sisters, and their mother. Found as strays, it was apparent the four pups had not been socialized around people and were very scared when they first arrived. As time went by, and through the love and attention of dedicated staff and volunteers, the two brothers and two sisters slowly began to trust humans. Soon they were running, playing, and loving attention from human friends. Camden was the most shy and reserved of the four siblings. Camden will need a little time to feel comfortable and trust you, but once he does, you will gain a loyal and loving companion for life. He will thrive in a calm home environment with an adult person or couple who are patient and committed to helping him adjust to his new home. Camden might enjoy the right dog brother or sister to play with in a secure fenced backyard or cuddle with indoors. Because he is shy he is often overlooked, but for the right adopter who will give him a chance to open up, he will be a true gem

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Gus is a charming pup who's learning to love the world one cuddle at a time. This silly boy adores rolling around in pine straw and has mastered the art of talking to grab your attention-what a conversationalist! While he's selective with his furry friends, he's been opening up and having a blast with certain playmates at the dog park. When he's not exploring the outdoors or splashing in the water, Gus is a certified cuddlebug who'll happily curl up with you for a nap or stay close by. Walks are his ultimate joy-just mention the word and watch his tail wag! Gus would be the perfect companion for someone who works from home or can take him to the office. He's not keen on being left alone for long periods and thrives in the company of his humans. Due to his past, Gus may need some extra patience and understanding. He bears some scars that we suspect are from past abuse, but with love and care, he's blossoming more every day.

Story
If Alaqua had a "class clown" it would be Dudley. Dudley is a total goofball full of playful energy who is always ready for some fun. He loves to go on walks and gleefully plays with toys in the play yard. The cutest thing is he loves learning new things! He loves being a student! He is a little picky with his dog friends, but is generally a happy-go-lucky guy. Dudley would prefer a home without cats, and a yard to play in would be ideal. He is great with kids! Bring some joy into your life by adopting lovable Dudley. Seeing his sweet happy face everyday will be sure to bring you endless smiles!
