Meet Jett: The Snuggler with Spark. Jett is a one-year-old Shih Tzu with the heart of a comedian and the soul of a snuggler. At 14 pounds, he’s sturdy, muscular, and full of bright, playful energy. He greets life with joy, tail swishing, eyes smiling, and ready to engage. Right now, his coat is closely shaved due to previous neglect, which can make it hard to picture his breed. But as it grows back, you’ll see the soft, flowing Shih Tzu coat emerge again. Regular grooming will be part of his lifelong care, not just for beauty, but for comfort and health.
Jett is wonderfully social with other small dogs and is learning how to “be a dog” by watching his foster friends. He studies them, follows their lead, and grows more confident each day. Playtime is his classroom, and he’s an eager student. With his people, Jett has what we lovingly call a “paws-on” lover, full of charisma. He reaches out, leans in, and makes sure you know how grateful he is to be near you. He bonds warmly and expresses affection with the deepest intention.
He is healthy and ready for a home that understands two important things:
Grooming will be a consistent part of his care.
A newly rescued dog needs time, patience, and gentle guidance to fully settle in.
Jett doesn’t just want a home; he wants connection, play, laughter, and closeness. In return, he will give you wholehearted devotion and a daily reminder to enjoy the simple moments. This dog's adoption fee is $650 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). If you are interested, please fill out the adoption application. For additional information regarding our adoption process, please check our FAQ's Page.
*All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. They don't live in cages or crates (unless there is a medical reason to do so). They are treated as family pets while in our care. * All dogs in our care are fed premium brand holistic food as well as supplements and vitamins specific to each dog's needs. We don't buy inexpensive bulk dry kibble; our rescues are fed premium wet food diets as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program to ensure maximum health. .*All of our rescues receive complete quality vetting, including full dental cleaning with pre-op bloodwork, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming. Dogs in need of specialized medicine will be seen by specialists, such as full cardiac workups, and ophthalmologist visits, all suspicious lumps and bumps are biopsied, and every medical need is transparent to potential adopters. *Once you adopt from Get a Life Pet Rescue, you become part of our compassionate family, and we are here for you if a problem with your precious dog arises.
