Story
At just one year old, Bennie the Chiweenie is the perfect blend of playful puppy energy and cuddle-bug sweetness. This handsome little guy has a gentle soul and a heart that’s completely devoted to his people. Bennie starts his day ready for adventure — whether it’s a neighborhood walk, exploring new smells, or a fun play session with his favorite toys. He’s always up for a bit of fun, but his absolute favorite place to be? Curled up right next to you. Bennie is a champion snuggler and would happily spend hours tucked into your side or warming your lap. He’s friendly and social with other dogs his size and enjoys having canine buddies to romp around with. His easygoing nature and loving personality make him a wonderful companion for a home looking for both playtime and plenty of affection. Small in size but overflowing with love, Bennie is the kind of pup who will follow you from room to room, just happy to be near his person. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will join you on walks, make you smile every day, and snuggle up close at night, Bennie is ready to be your perfect match. All he needs now is a forever home to call his own. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $400 and you can adopt me at www.polkadogz.org. ##2657827##

Story
Grisol is the kind of little dog who quietly steals your heart and then suddenly you cannot imagine life without her.   She is about 8 to 10 years old and under 10 pounds of pure sweetness. This tiny chihuahua has the softest eyes and the gentlest spirit. After being discarded by a breeder when she was no longer “useful,” Grisol is finally getting the chance to just be someone’s beloved girl. And she is absolutely ready for it.   Grisol is dog, cat, and kid approved. She is curious, silly in her own quiet way, and loves being close to her people. She is not demanding. She is not high maintenance. She simply wants a soft place to land and a family who sees her value beyond what she could produce.   There is something incredibly special about senior and middle aged chihuahuas. They are past the chaos phase and fully in their cozy era. Grisol would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can be spoiled with comfy beds, warm laps, and gentle walks. She is small enough to go everywhere with you and sweet enough to charm everyone she meets. Grisol had a dental recently where unfortunately most of her teeth had to be removed. She is healing well, but only eats soft foods now.   After everything she has been through, this next chapter should be the best one yet. Grisol is ready to live the rest of her life as someone’s treasured companion.   If you are looking for a tiny best friend with a huge heart, Grisol is waiting.   ##2658262##

Story
Luna Negra is looking for a foster or her forever home.   This beautiful girl is about two years old and is ready for a soft place to land. Through no fault of her own, she found herself needing a new beginning, and she has handled it with so much grace.   Luna Negra is fully vetted and house trained. She is currently in training and doing incredibly well. She is smart, eager to learn, and really thrives when she has structure and guidance. You can see how much she wants to please her people.   She does well with medium and large dogs and would enjoy a confident canine companion, but she also bonds deeply to her humans. She is an amazing snuggler and happiest when she is curled up close after a walk or training session.   Right now, she needs a foster to help her transition safely while we continue reviewing applications for her forever family. A foster home will give her stability, routine, and the love she deserves while she waits. All supplies and support are provided.   If you are looking for a loyal, intelligent, affectionate companion, Luna Negra could be your girl. Whether you can open your home short term as a foster or forever as her adopter, you would be changing her life in the most beautiful way.   Please send us a message if you can help Luna Negra take the next step toward the happy ending she deserves.   ##2658228##

Story
Hi, I’m Ohio, a handsome 10-year-old Shepherd blend boy weighing in at 55 pounds of pure sweetness.  With my good manners, love of cuddles and relaxed style, I’m going for the gold! Favorite Things: Ohio loves strolls around the neighborhood and breezy car rides.  But don’t worry, this sweet boy is just as happy lounging like a pro on the couch. Independence is his vibe, but when it comes to cuddles, he is truly a gold medalist! Toys? Meh. He’d rather hang out with you and soak up all the love. Training & Manners: Ohio is house trained when let out regularly. His leash skills are impressive and he handles car rides like a champ.  This fine gentleman brings his winning house manners and laid back approach to life and loves curling up on the people bed at night for sweet dreams and snuggles. Health & Care: Ohio is neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and recently had a dental cleaning.  He’ll just need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. No fancy salon visits required - a bath, a brush, and a nail trim and he’s ready for his close-up. Other Animals: Ohio has experience with dogs of all sizes, as well as cats, and gets high marks for cooperation and boundaries. Children: Easygoing and gentle, Ohio is a great companion for older children who know how to treat a gentle senior with respect. Ideal Home: Ohio is flexible—he will happily call an apartment, townhome, condo, or single family house his castle. If you need to step out for a few hours, he’ll hold down the fort until you return. Overall: If you’re looking for an independent, affectionate pooch to bring the love, Ohio might be the one for you.  If you think he might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, his foster family will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $275. ##2591833##

Story
Pretty Ricky is an 8 year old French Bulldog. He is a friendly, happy, bouncy guy that loves everyone. He is great with people and other dogs. We don't have any history with him with cats but expect he would do well with proper introductions, he is a generally very easy going guy that is unbothered by much of anything. He is housebroken BUT when we received him he was not neutered and he would mark new places inside when he first arrived. We have since neutered him, but the habit may still result in some initial marking when he transitions somewhere new.  Adoption fee: $150  Pretty Ricky is neutered, micro chipped and current on vaccines. He comes with 30 days of free pet insurance and a free bath and nail trim from Scenthound.  ADOPTIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT. We do not house dogs at our office, they are living with volunteer foster families. Please submit an application so we can get to know you better and reach out to set up an appointment.  ##2657957##

Story
Special dogs need special homes. Casper is a VERY special dog. He was once known as The Grey Ghost of Split Oak, he had survived a month in the wilderness and eluded all attempts to befriend or capture him. An amazing team of volunteers worked around the clock and were finally able to trap him - he is "safe" but his journey does not end there. He is currently living in a kennel and really needs a home to take a chance on him. He is a little shy/skittish and will do best with a quiet household that doesn't have a ton of company or rowdy children. He appears to be housebroken. He has potential with other dogs but would need a calm, confident, friendly other dog and slow introductions - we would help provide support to get the dogs acclimated! This sweet soul needs someone to take a chance on the next step of his journey.  Adoption fee: $WAIVED Casper is neutered, current on vaccines and micro chipped. She comes with 30 days of pet insurance through MetLife, a free bath and nail trim from Scenthound, and free puppy classes. ALL ADOPTIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT. We do not house animals at our office, animals are in foster care and appointments are required to adopt. Please fill out an application so we can get to know you better and coordinate on setting up an adoption appointment. ##2657917##
