Story
I rescued Emmett through the Vet Clinic I work at when he was 8weeks old. He was in critical condition and wasn’t expected to make it through the night. He’s now 2 years old and doing great. He has no health concerns, is up to date on all vaccines, and takes Heartworm and Flea prevention every month. He recently started jumping our fence and running off. We are afraid he his going to get hurt or worse. He needs a home with a TALL fence or someone who will leash walk him everyday. He is an indoor dog. He is house trained and also kennel trained.

Story
*Sponsored Adoption Fee by an Alaqua Staff Member* There is something extra special about having a dog that comes from a deplorable situation trust you and look to you for comfort and love. This boy has overcome odds and is sweet, affectionate, and playful. He does great on a leash and although he gets shy with new experiences (riding in a car and being in a house) he warms up and relaxes when he feels safe with his human. Note: He needs to be an only dog and in a home with no young children.

Story
Lady is a sweet, happy, mature little Shihtzu. She likes people, loves a belly rub and is very friendly, but also enjoys a quiet place to nap. Lady has very limited vision, but isn't completely blind. She is also hard of hearing. She has a heart murmur and takes medication twice a day. She takes her medicine easily with a little bit of food. She eats soft food. Here is how her foster mom describes her. She has gotten along perfectly with our dogs, cats, kids, and any other dogs or people that have come to visit. Lady would do best in a home where she has someone around to take her out to the bathroom regularly. She knows to potty outside, but isn't good at telling us when she needs to go out. Lady loves to sleep on the floor next to her people's bed. She doesn't jump on furniture and doesn't bark when the door bell rings. She has a mellow, laid back personality. Sometimes she gets little bursts of energy and acts like a young dog but she doesn't have stamina for long walks or lots of playing. She rests a lot. Lady is very soft and fluffy. She is well behaved for baths and brushing. Lady would make a great companion for someone who likes a calm, quiet, mature, good natured dog
