Story
Meet Maverick! 🐾💙 Maverick is a sweet, playful, and energetic Australian Shepherd looking for a loving new home. He is a cuddly boy who loves attention and enjoys spending time with his people. He can be protective at times, but he is friendly with adults and does well with other dogs. Maverick is house trained and would make a wonderful companion for someone who can give him plenty of love, attention, exercise, and a safe place to call home. Unfortunately, due to housing issues, I am no longer able to keep Maverick. This is a very difficult decision, and my biggest priority is finding him a loving home where he will be cared for and cherished. Maverick has so much love to give and deserves a family who will give him the same love in return. ❤️🐶

Story
Cabela is an almost 7 year old (DOB 10/15) German Shorthaired Pointer. Shes been in our family since she was a puppy. She is a great dog but she has attacked our other pet in the home and had fights with a previous dog years back and we no longer feel like its fair or safe to keep her in our home. She needs to be the ONLY dog in the house. She is still very energetic and very smart. She knows commands such as sit, stay, paw, down and roll over. She loves to go for rides and she does not have a history of biting humans. With that being said, her demeanor has changed lately and she is more stand offish and has growled at us (in her kennel only). Her kennel is her safe space and that is also where any negative behaviors occur. It is heartbreaking to do this but she needs a home where she is the only animal and she can get all the love and attention she deserves.

Story
Hello! My name is Luna! I am a loving husky and super playful one. My foster parents found me by a job site and they couldn’t leave me so they took me in. They have another husky just like me but he’s a little over protective so he doesn’t really like me as much as I like him. So unfortunately they can’t keep me. I am just looking for a loving family that I can love just as much!!

Story
Still AvailableYoungsville LouisianaI took her off the adoption list to try once again to keep her. She is not aggressive. She is not a bad dog. I’m tapped and bit off more than I can chew. She is in flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Opal is a great young Great Pyrenees showing phenomenal working instincts. Every day, she meticulously walks her perimeter and monitors her fence lines. When rotated to a new field, her first instinct is to complete a full security check of the new boundary to make sure all is well. She takes her job seriously: nothing enters her space unless it belongs to "her people" or her approved environment.Important Note on Livestock: Opel has a natural, high-energy interest in poultry. She views chickens as fast-moving toys with endless battery lives, so she would need additional attention. However, she has the perfect foundation to guard larger stock or simply rule over a large, securely fenced country home

Story
Gumbo is a great dog that I got in Pennsylvania. I had to relocate for work, and the new arrangements are not suitable for him. He just turned one in August. He is a big boy with a lot of love to give. I have never had any behavioral issues with him.

Story
Steve was found in a field with his sister. Unfortunately, his sister did not make it. He was brought into a home with loving parents, and he has taken well to training—house broken, loves his toys, loves to go on a walk on a leash (would love to run, too!), and he loves to cuddle. He sleeps in a bed next to his current owners, and he is also comfortable in a kennel. Believe it or not, he will literally watch tv with you (his favorite movie is Wizard of Oz, and he loves watching sports). Steve is a great dog. We hoped that Steve would be a wonderful addition to our family. But, our dog that we already rescued did not take to Steve as we had hoped (Steve loves his big brother and the cat, but his big brother does not reciprocate; the cat likes him though). Our other rescue has a lot of anxiety, and Steve has a lot of personality. This has created an imbalance in our home, and we believe it would be better if Steve found a home where his full personality could shine.
