Story
Poky (short for Poquito) is a sweet little muscle nugget. I found him wandering in traffic on Bonin Rd and La Neuville in Lafayette on 1/21/25, and although he was a little timid at first approach, he quickly warmed up into a snuggly, curious ball of fun. He plays great with my great Dane puppy and has quickly learned his boundaries with my senior-aged cats. He is in tact and use definitely still a puppy. He has no chip and I have had no success contacting an owner. I believe he was dumped. If I had the room in my home and budget, I would absolutely keep him. He is already spoiled to being inside, and does not like to be left alone in the yard. He has had minimal accidents and is taking to crate training well. Looking for a foster or forever home for this sweet, little man. Vet reference as well as experience with rescues and bully breeds required.

Story
Luna is two years old. Luna has been in my care for a year now. She is a mixture of Terrier and Dachshund. She loves people and she loves being around other dogs. Treats and going on walks are her favorite thing to do. She loves to lay out in the sun, even if it's a little strip of sun coming through the blinds. She's very smart. She loves to play fetch. She's crate trained and house trained. As of today(February 5th, 2026)… She is up to date on all her vaccines until 2027. She's on a monthly heart guard medication. If you're looking for a small, confident, sweet, outgoing pup, Luna is the pup for you. She's never been around cats so I don't know how she will act with a cat. I'd like to find her a home with a good person that will give her the attention she needs. Unfortunately, I have recently been traveling a lot for work and haven't been able to give her the attention she needs. She goes to boarding when I am traveling for work.

(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details

Story
Mae is 9 years old and very sweet, but very anxious. When we adopted her I was working from home, but since I've had to return to the office her anxiety has been increasing. Mae needs to be with someone who has more ability to be home with her due to her separation anxiety. Mae warms up to other dogs pretty quickly, and is good with cats and older kids. She startles very easily and is blind in one eye (on medication for glaucoma) so small, active children are not a good fit.

Story
Adopted Voss at 4 weeks old while stationed in California. He was born 28 July 2017. He moved with us to North Carolina, Kentucky, and now Louisiana. We have had a German husky, 3 cats, and a baby that he has been great around. He is obedient, loyal, a great companion, and crate trained. Since living in Louisiana Voss has had allergies which has caused hematomas in his ears. This is why you see one ear has flopped down. He has been growing fatty tumors the last few years. I had them biopsied since they have gotten bigger but was told they dont need to be removed. We have loved him dearly and have made the difficult decision to put him up for adoption since we can no longer offer him the space and time he requires. We want to see him enjoy the rest of his life in a home that loves to play and offer him the attention that we cant give him at this time. Happy to answer any questions.
