Story
Adopted Voss at 4 weeks old while stationed in California. He was born 28 July 2017. He moved with us to North Carolina, Kentucky, and now Louisiana. We have had a German husky, 3 cats, and a baby that he has been great around. He is obedient, loyal, a great companion, and crate trained. Since living in Louisiana Voss has had allergies which has caused hematomas in his ears. This is why you see one ear has flopped down. He has been growing fatty tumors the last few years. I had them biopsied since they have gotten bigger but was told they dont need to be removed. We have loved him dearly and have made the difficult decision to put him up for adoption since we can no longer offer him the space and time he requires. We want to see him enjoy the rest of his life in a home that loves to play and offer him the attention that we cant give him at this time. Happy to answer any questions.

Story
Mae is 9 years old and very sweet, but very anxious. When we adopted her I was working from home, but since I've had to return to the office her anxiety has been increasing. Mae needs to be with someone who has more ability to be home with her due to her separation anxiety. Mae warms up to other dogs pretty quickly, and is good with cats and older kids. She startles very easily and is blind in one eye (on medication for glaucoma) so small, active children are not a good fit.

Story
Koda is a 6-year-old dog who was saved from a family that was planning to abandon him. He is neutered (no paperwork available) and has been a truly wonderful companion. Koda loves to cuddle and enjoys going on walks. He is very quiet and rarely barks, is kennel trained, fully potty trained, and does great with other animals. He has a calm, gentle nature and fits easily into a routine. Due to severe allergies, I am unfortunately unable to keep Koda. This decision has been incredibly difficult, as he truly is the best dog. My only goal is to find him a safe, loving, and permanent home where he will be cherished the way he deserves.

Ellie

German Shepherd Dog

Female, Young
Lafayette, LA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ellie is a very sweet mixed dog. We believe she is part German Shepard. She was a rescue; we found her 2.5 years ago living in a graveyard and adopted her. From what we know, she was dumped near the graveyard by her apparent previous owner. She is very attached to our other dog (GSD), but does not get along with other dogs. Behavioral issues: minor nipping (only occasional & what we believe to be in play), crying every time our babies cry, escaping from her kennel/jumping fences, aggression towards other dogs (it seems out of protection of the other dog), and digging in the yard. Very skittish and timid. Positive traits include: very sweet and cuddly, loves being pet and sitting in your lap, responds to basic commands, not a big barker, pretty good on a leash (minimal pulling), generally is good with guests Ellie needs a quiet, child-free home where she can be prioritized. She has had issues from her previous owner (was likely abused) that we do not have the resources to fix.

American Pit Bull Terrier Mutt

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We adopted him in Ponchatoula. He's just over a year old. He is very energetic! He plays a little rough, and would not be suitable for small children or those that are unstable on their feet. He is sweet and never meets anyone who he doesn't love. He is a remarkable jumper/parkour enthusiast. (3 plus feet upright) Spud is very food motivated and has been trained to do many tricks. (Sit/stay, outside/inside, go potty, upstairs/downstairs, lay down, waits for permission to eat, give kisses, kennel, shake/high five, dance (will jump up to your waist for a little boogie). Spud needs a backyard to get his zoomies out. He requires frequent potty breaks and attention. He will let you know when he wants your undivided attention. Looking to rehome him due to a career change that prohibits us from having a Pitt mix around children.

Sweet female blue tick coonhound was found roaming the neighborhood in the cold. I took her in two weeks ago, but she needs a permanent home. I just got her spayed and vaccinated. My female dog is not happy with another dog, so she needs a foster or home ASAP. Please contact me anytime.
