Husker Weim Rescue, Inc., Opie here! I joined up with Husker Weim Rescue foster program to help me find a new family. They recognized my need for help and recruited Tucker's Point Kennel, located in Dells Rapid, SD. My recall has improved so much from when I first came. You know sometimes it takes a while to start actually making progress when I don't know what is going on. My confidence has improved....you should see me place & I just started playing fetch in the house. But I am timid when outside. Here is the deal, I need that special person to find me. The need is to be the only dog in the house, because in reality, I am a certified couch potato, at the age of 2. Can you believe that!!!! I have been good with cats that are at the kennel & I could be good if they are dog loving cats. But, they do intrigue me. I do love to get out & about but will need that right person to help me. In my past life a friend took me out running. Believe it I really did. Teenagers are better than little kids, especially if they are dog knowledgeable. You know those little ones move way to fast for my liking. My gal, at Tucker's Point Kennel will personally vet my future family to make sure they are the right fit for me. She knows I need that certain type of person who has a gentle touch to help build my confidence because you know I will get anxious on changes. I have so much more to learn. It would be neat to continue with my training.
