Story
UPDATE 03/04/2026: Cooper is a year old, housetrained shepherd mix in the 60 to 70 lb range who walks like a gentleman on leash. Through our partnership with a nearby prison, this dapper young fellow recently completed basic obedience school and is getting better and better at coming when called. Cooper is a “life, be in it!” kind of dog. He’s always ready to bring the party and go wherever the day takes you. He will do best in a home that can provide him with an active life style. His mind and body love a challenge. He loves walks in the outdoors and would have the time of his life as your hiking and adventure buddy. Cooper wants a job to do, such as learning even more skills in dog school. After some serious exercise or a playful workout, he’s all ready for a chew toy or an affectionate, chill cuddle on the couch. If you’re looking for a fun loving, up for anything companion, please consider making an appointment to meet Cooper. Cooper, a young , male Retriever mix was brought to the rescue as a stray. Cooper waited & waited for his family to come get him, but they never did. Now he is looking for a new forever home that will never abandon him! Cooper is very friendly and has lots of energy. He enjoys romping in the big play yard and is working on leash manners. It appears Cooper has had little to no training but luckely he got picked to enter a training program soon where he will learn all sorts of good manners!! Cooperis house trained and is now neutered and current on vaccines. Look for updates on Coopers training or if you would like to meet Cooper before he heads off to boot camp please contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center ( kennel license # 8704 )

Story
Della, an approximately 1 year old, female Husky /Shepherd mix was surrendered to the rescue when owner was unable to keep her in his apartment any longer. Owner who had only had Della for 3 months reported she was house trained and knew the command "sit". It was only he & Della that lived in the apartment and when he had to leave she had a seperate room she would stay in till his return. Della is looking for a home where she can be free to roam & not have to be crated when family is away and with no young children due to her resouce guarding issues & strong-willed personality. Oftentimes, inappropriate behaviors, such as Della's temper tantrums when returning to her kennel, diminish once a dog is settled in a home. Della is an active, intelligent girl looking for a family that will prioritize training ( especially regarding resource issues), physical exercise, mental stimulation along with her general daily needs. Della is house trained, current on vaccines and spayed. For more information on this beautiful girl please contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center (kennel license # 8704 )

Story
UPDATE 03/04/2026: Looking for a one-of-a-kind dog to be your loving, forever companion? Emily is a 6-year old, deaf, house trained pit bull in the 50 lb. range. Because Emily sort of resembles a cow in her stylish white coat with the black patches, she earned the nick name “Moo Moo” from her trainer. Unlike a cow, Emily is definitely not ready to be put out to pasture. So what makes this deaf dog so special? Through our partnership with a nearby prison, Emily has aced her basic and most of her advanced obedience commands which she learned through hand signals, a truly remarkable feat. Emily is a smart, sweet, low maintenance dog who loves people and loves attention. Being deaf is not an issue for Emily, especially now that she has a way to communicate with her human companions. As a deaf dog, Emily will need a few extra precautions to keep her safe, such as always being on a leash when outside of her home and daily practice with her learned hand signals. In return for that she will splatter you with joy and give you her heart. If you know what a blessing a special needs animal can be, please consider making an appointment to meet Emily. Emily is a sweet, deaf, Pit Bull Terrier found wandering on her own and brought to the rescue. Sadly no one has come forward to claim Emily so now she is looking for her new forever family that will keep her safe and shower her with all the love she deserves. Emily is a strong girl that loves going for walks and has wonderful leash manners. We have no history on Emily but do know that she needs a home without cats. Emily is very friendly and affectionate with people and is house trained. She is estimated to be around 6 years old, is current on vaccines and will be spayed prior to adoption. For more information on Emily or to set up a meet and greet please contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center ( kennel license # 8704 )
