Story
After being spotted wandering around by himself, this handsome fella was brought to the rescue. Because his owners were never found, he is now available for adoption. Cinco is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and appears to be housebroken. He is believed to be a Husky/Beagle mix and is approximately 5 years old. Cinco enjoys walks, playing outside, and getting lots of love from volunteers. Cinco is a sweetheart, but he hates going back into his kennel and isn’t shy about letting us know. Cinco is looking for a home where he can be free to roam & not have to be crated when family is away and with no young children due to his strong-willed personality. Oftentimes, inappropriate behaviors, such as Cinco’s temper tantrums when returning to his kennel, diminish once a dog is settled in a home. Other than this quirk, he is a happy, loving pup that is ready to be someone’s loyal companion. Cinco is probably the most affectionate dog currently under our care. He absolutely loves giving kisses, getting attention, and making people smile. If you’d like to give this fun-loving pup a furever home, please call Tri-County Animal Rescue Center ( kennel license # 8704 ) at 814-918-2032, email us (contactus@tricounty-arc.org), or message us on Facebook.

Story
Meet Sadie — a gentle, affectionate 9‑month‑old Great Dane mix with a heart as big as her paws 🐾 Rescued from a hoarding situation and later surrendered by a family who adored her, Sadie has shown nothing but sweetness through every transition. She’s friendly with every volunteer she’s met, walks beautifully on a leash, and loves leaning her whole body into you for pets. At around 60 lbs, she’s a growing girl who enjoys chasing sticks in the play yard, going for walks, and soaking up attention from her people. Her previous owners claimed that she is house-trained and crate‑trained. Sadie is current on vaccines and will be spayed before adoption. Sadie gets along with some dogs but not all, so she’ll do best with slow, thoughtful introductions to any canine siblings. She previously lived peacefully with a cat and did wonderfully with children. Even when she’s nervous—like needing a little help getting into the car—she settles quickly and shines, as she did at her vet visit, where she was calm, cooperative, and an absolute angel. Sadie is affectionate, eager to bond, and ready for a home that will give her the love, structure, and gentle guidance she deserves. Want to bring Sadie home? Story
Beth, a gorgeous adult Labrador mix is now looking for her forever family. Beths story did not start off easy. She was found as a stray during freezing winter months, terrified trying to survive the bitter elements on her own. She was caught just in time to have a safe, warm place to give birth to her beautiful liter of puppies. Now her babies are off on their own adventure and it is Beths turn to find a family who will spoil her the way she deserves. She is a big strong girl weighing 70 lbs. She loves snooping and romping around the big fenced yards and is practicing her leash manners. She is now current on vaccines and will be spayed prior to adoption. Story
UPDATE: 05/01/2026: Finster is our longest resident; waiting 1,289 days [3.5 years] for a home. 💔 Finster ("Fin", "Finny") was brought to the rescue as a stray after found scratching at the door of a stranger's home in the middle of the night looking for shelter. No one ever came to claim Finster. So after 3 1/2 years, he continues to earn the hearts of volunteers at the rescue. 🧡 Fin is a smart, athletic and strong male Pitbull, who loves stretching his short legs in the big yard and taking walks. He will shred a tennis ball in record time, and sit and take his treats with poise and finesse. Finster would do best in an adult household, and as an only pet. He will need some time to get to know you, and may require a few interactions with a committed person, but once all that is done, you'll find your friend!! Beneath his big-dog energy, is a sweet and eager friend, who is looking for his person; someone who will provide ongoing training, structure and exercise. Fin is house trained, neutered and up to date on vaccines. For more information or to meet Finster please contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center ( kennel license # 8704 )

Story
Meet Barrett, a loving and friendly boy who is sure to capture your heart! Barrett was brought to the rescue as a stray however after being posted on social media it came to our attention that the person who brought him in claiming to have found him was his actual owner who had had him since he was a puppy. Luckely people in the community who knew Barrett was able to give us information to help in find a new forever home. Barrett a male German Shepherd was born January 2018. He apparently enjoys playing fetch, loves children, does well with other dogs however he is not a fan of cats. Barrett weighs 100 lbs, is house trained, he was already neutered and is now current on vaccines.
